Story
Ronnie, or as some of us like to call him, Ronald, is an amazing Rottie with a top dog personality. He is brave, protective, and always charming. He is also quite the dancer when you give him a good scratching on his back end. This eight year old senior is still a power house, who will tell you how it is and if he does or doesn't agree with something. He adores food and is quite a good eater with both food and treats, which makes training fun for both you and him. His favorite summer activity is to play in the hose, catching the water with his mouth while also staying cool. He is also a huge fan of car rides and loves his weekly trips where he can stick his head out of the window for some fresh air. As macho as he is, Ronnie also has a soft side, where he loves to be loved on by people he trusts most. He has a few human friends here at Satchel's that bring out his inner puppy side. He is not a big fan of sharing attention and would prefer to be the only canine companion. He can be a trickster as well, so underestimating him in any way will leave you humbled. This wonderful boy would need an adult only home, with people who understand, and respect him, that can give him the love and warmth he deserves. If you are interested in Ronnie, please fill out the adoption application (no commitment) on our website, at Satchelslastresort.org.

Story
Bruiser arrived in our care with a mass. After having our veterinarian evaluate him, it was decided that the mass needed to be removed. The pathology report did reveal that it was a soft tissue sarcoma, a form of cancer. The margins were clear and we are hopeful that there will be no recurrence. Strong as an Ox with the heart of gold, Bruiser is a force to be reckoned with. This handsome Rottweiler of ten years young is always ready for an adventure, searching the front gate for a friend that needs some company. He loves the weekend, when his Woof Pack member comes to take him for a car ride, going to new places for exploring and new people to meet. Bruiser adores people, greeting them with side hugs or an excited sniff down in hope of a meaty treat. He can put on a show with a rump scratch, which causes his back legs to dance back and forth. Squeaky toys are his absolute favorite, and the smaller the more fun. He does not like going to the vet, or having procedures done, so a muzzle would be needed. He has not shown much interest in other canine companions, but could possibly make a friend. Bruiser would be most comfortable in a home with adults that can respect his boundaries. If you are interested in Bruiser and would love to meet him, please submit the adoption application (no commitment) and an adoption counselor will be in touch.

Story
Diamond is a sweet loving dog who we decided to get for my at time partners son. Unfortunately things have changed and I have 2 by myself. I feel it’s unfair to Diamond as she is a puppy still and has lots of energy to burn. She is timid of people- not mean just nervous at first til she’s comfortable. She doesn’t bark a lot and she doesn’t escape like a Husky. She loves to play and walk but doesn’t like to be left behind to walk another doggy. This is a hard decision as I do love her however with me alone and I travel a lot I feel it is best for her to having a loving home with people who can spend more time with her.

Story
Mia is a 3-year-old, black and tan rottweiler mix, and weighs 57 pounds. She came in as a stray from the Zephyrhills area. The finder noted she looked pregnant or post-partum. After intake and a medical exam, radiographs confirmed – she’s a mom and she delivered 8 beautiful babbies on 3/11/24!  Mama Mia, might just be the sweetest and loving pup  we have every met and she is absolutely a staff favorite. She is now microchipped, up to date on all vaccines, and heartworm negative.  She is still nursing her babies, but will be ready for a home of her very own around May 15th.  She loves her daily walks around the property and seems to be house-trained.  She loves being with her people and belly rubs. She also loves to play fetch, if you are looking for a wonderful pup, she might be the one for you.  If you would like to meet me, please complete an online questionnaire and one of our adoption counselors will be reaching out to see if I will be a good fit for you and your home.  Hope to see you soon!  https://www.fluffanimalrescue.org/adoption-application My adoption fee includes my sterilization, microchip and registration, all core vaccines to date, dewormer and 1st month's Flea and Heartworm Preventatives. Thanks for considering adoption! *Information deemed reliable, but not guarenteed* ##1986905##

Story
Captain is a super sweet and loving pup who was found as a stray in Nassau, Bahamas during a spay and neuter clinic. He was set to be released as per standard for a clinic, but he didn't have a pack waiting for him and he asked us if he could stay by giving us his paw. We are so grateful this sweet boy chose us as we eventually found out he has TVT (a type of cancer from mating/breeding). Unfortunately it is contagious so until he has finished his treatment, he will do best as a solo pup as we cannot risk the spread which happens through contact. He is also heartworm positive and has begun treatment.  Captain is such a wonderful boy who will make the most loving companion. He can't wait to meet you! ##2016422##
