Story
Spay/Neuter of dog is scheduled at a vet of our choosing and is part of the adoption fee - date will be on the adoption contract - this is if not already sterilized.   We take the dogs that are adopted down...so if a dog is on the website they are available. Obedience training and fully fenced in yard is required for all our pups.   Completion certificate for training needs to be emailed once complete.  When applying pictures/videos of your fully enclosed yard is needed. Please only send inquiries to the email in this bio all others will not be answered. Please read the bio before sending questions - we answer all we know about the dog here. If the question is not answered in the bio please send emails to   info@HeidisLegacyDogRescue.com Meet Romeo! I am about 9 months old and weigh 65 lb. I’m a cuddle bug who loves to snuggle just as much as I love to play. I’m relentlessly curious about the world, and even though I’m a big guy, I can be a little intimidated at first—“I’m just a baby,” as my mommy says. But once I warm up, I’m all in for fun and friendship. I get along great with other dogs and bring a big, joyful energy to every moment. What I know and my nice habits: - I listen to basic commands like sit, paw, lay down, and I know to sit and wait when food is placed on the floor. - I’m trainable, eager to learn, and motivated by treats and your praise. - I’m a gentle soul who thrives on human affection and doggy companionship. Ideal home: Romeo would do well in a home with time to nurture his confidence and help him grow into a confident, well-behaved canine citizen. He’s best with families who can offer steady guidance, regular play, and lots of snuggles. With patience and love, Romeo will reward you with loyal companionship and endless heart. Romeo's adoption fee is $500 - obedience training is required after adoption and fully enclosed front or backyard is also required. Story
**ONLY AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION IN FLORIDA ** Ever want a dog you can flip into “sport mode”? It’s me! Pick me!  I would love to do some doggie sports with you! In fact I thrive on them. I started out slow with fetch and learning how to walk nicely on the leash, but I'm ready to move on to bigger things. Maybe I'd enjoy dock diving or fast CAT. I have a high drive and want to please the humans I love, but I'm perfectly fine being crated. I would do best as an only dog or as a member of a crate and rotate pack. My adopter should have a fenced in yard that I can run in and have experience with sports dogs. I'm excellent when I get my energy out, but I can be destructive without exercise. About me: my name is Poe, I am a 3 year old now. I’m a neutered male with a factory tail. To apply to adopt go to lostangelsanimalrescue.org  Adoption Donation: $350.00October 2, 2025, 9:13 pm

Story
This is Bertha. She is 3 years old. She has hip displasia and arthritis in her knees. Right now she isn’t in any kind of pain but her quality of life is expected to worsen with her condition. To create longevity in her health, it’s best to get her on a nutritional diet supporting joint & bone health. But when I say this doesn’t affect her in the slightest I mean it. She likes to play just like any other dog. So, it would be up to you to limit her physical activities & duration because she will push herself beyond what her body can do. This girl is full of love and does very well with other dogs. She is so affectionate and sweet! She is completely house/crate trained (I will happily give you her orthopedic dog bed, crate and toys!) and she even knows a few tricks! There’s something special about Bertha. Her personality is one of a kind you’ll find yourself laughing at the little things she does. Please apply to meet her & see for yourself !

Story
Hi! My name is Pogo, I’m a young boxer mix puppy (my friends think.) I was found in northern Alabama with a really bad leg wound, and missing my foot. My friends up there cared for me until I could transfer to Ewenity Farms here in Florida. I am currently undergoing treatment for an infection, and then I will need another surgery to remove more of my leg so I can live comfortably. I will spend my recovery with my foster family until I am ready for my new home. They’re saying I’ll be a bigger boy (40ish lbs) once I’m full grown. My friends don’t know exactly what happened to me, but it has not affected my outlook on life. I love other dogs, cats, adults, kids, and even all of my new friends at the vet office! My foster mom says I’m an expert snuggler and treat connoisseur. I love playing with my toys (the noisier the better!), foster brothers (wrestling and tug are so much fun!), sunbathing, and exploring everything! I am still a puppy, and working on my big dog skills, like house training, crate training, and not stealing my foster mom’s socks. She says when they are on her feet they’re hers and gives me other toys to distract me (I don’t quite agree, but I’m still learning.) I love to express my opinions on everything, and would really love a home with a backyard for me to run around in. My foster mom says I might be a bit too noisy for apartment living, I just have big ideas and thoughts that need to be shared! I’m not a fan of being left alone yet, I really love being with my people and friends. My foster mom started me in puppy school, since she says we’ll be hanging out for a bit, and they tell me I’m a quick learner and doing really well! I will require life-long joint supplements to support my legs. Are you ready to add some fun and love to your life? Because I am more than ready to provide it!
