Biggie is 1 1/2 years old, he gets along well with female dogs but doesn't do too well with other males. We have had him since a puppy but he and his brother continues to fight. Biggie is high energy and loves to play, he will do great in a home where he can play and tussle with older kids.

Story
Much like a rodeo event, this Rodeo is ready to show off his skills and be in the ultimate competition for your heart! Rodeo's skills: being a very sweet boy, giving the best hugs, and making his human companions laugh. Rodeo made his way to Chicago at the end of February, from one of our partner shelters in Laredo, Texas. He has been settling into his foster home, hanging out with his canine foster siblings, both big and small! He is estimated to be about 5 years old and about 60lbs. Rodeo is a sociable guy, who loves to spend time with his canine companions. He can be initially very excited to meet a new canine friend, letting out a few big barks but refocuses quickly to his foster mom, patiently waiting for the 'ok' to play. Smart, focused and ready to learn! He has enjoyed going on car-rides, absolutely loves meeting new people, and does well entertaining himself or playing with his foster pack! He enjoys a nice long nap after some play and people-watching out the window. Rodeo is heartworm positive and will be starting heartworm treatment soon. While it does take a few months to treat, it is a completely curable disease and Mutts of the Midway will cover the cost of his entire treatment. It is not transmittable to other pets or humans. Rodeo is geared up and ready to meet to his new best friend and partner!

We adopted Bella at about 6 months old in November of 2016. She is very good natured when around people she trusts but can be very high energy when first meeting others. She is a very loving dog and we are incredibly sad to be in a position to rehome her. We have a 2 year old and another baby on the way. We had hoped Bella would get along with our children as she is very loved by our daughter. Unfortunately, we have had several instances of Bella snapping/growling at our daughter primarily when feeling she was stuck in a tight spot or surprised but we cannot keep Bella for safety concerns for our children. We are truly heartbroken. Her behavior around others dog is unpredictable. Some dogs she gets along with well with but can unfortunately be triggered by sharing toys, water, attention. For this reason I think it best she be in a home where she is the only dog. She has not done well with her few cat interactions and chases them.
