Nahla is a very sweet, loving girl that is looking for her forever home. We are rehoming her due to an upcoming move to another state. Nahla is very good with children and other dogs. She loves to run around the backyard, play and cuddle with anyone who will have her. She listens to a few commands (ex: sit, stay, lay down) and is very food motivated. We hope to rehome Nahla to someone that will love her as much as we do.

Mr. Positivity! This is just a glimpse of his happiness. Pavel is optimism in a dog. Even being sick when he arrived couldn’t bring him down. Pavel is young and smart. He already knows the basic commands and loves to play. Plus he is so handsome with that fancy fur. Chicago Animal Care and Control is located at 2741 S. Western Ave., Chicago, IL, and is open from 12pm to 7pm daily. Walk-in visitors are welcome and helped on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are planning to adopt the day you visit, please plan to arrive before 5:30pm. Visitors arriving after 5:30pm will still be able to view animals in Pavilions A-B-C until 7pm. All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog-to-dog meet and greets for your current dog(s) to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up-to-date rabies vaccination for your dog(s). Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog. We have received 7 pups/dogs from California!  Many thanks to those who helped support, coordinate and worked so diligently to arrange their safe arrival - Giuliana Rancic for supporting the mission, Wings of Rescue for the safe flight and to "Paws To Life" in California for the coordination! Linus is approximately 9 weeks old and weigh between 8-10lbs! They are getting settled into their foster home and more information to come soon! Foster Update:  Linus is a gent. He's on the independent side, but friendly with everybody he meets. Linus is shaping up to be a smart one, taking to potty training with impressive speed. This fluffy little chunk with the giant paws will likely be a big boy. He'd do well in a home with room outside to roam and would be fine with or  without other dogs.   We recommend obedience training for all dogs! **Breed or size (once fully grown) is a 'best guess' and is not guaranteed since they arrived into rescue without either parent.  **Magnificent Mutts is an all foster home based rescue and meets are held by appointment with the entire family in attendance. Please ensure that your current pets are up to date with vetting, have landlord/HOA approval and are prepared to take your new family member home at the adoption appointment.
