Rottweiler Hound (Unknown Type)

Rosemont, IL
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Reyna — this queen is part Rottweiler, part athlete, part professional couch companion, and 100% good girl. Reyna is beautiful, low-shedding, crate trained, potty trained, and walks on a leash like she personally watched every episode of The Dog Whisperer. She loves running, hiking, swimming, fetch, and basically any activity preferred by those mysterious people who voluntarily do cardio when absolutely no one is chasing them. She’s great with kids and medium- to large-sized dogs. However, in true Rottie fashion, Reyna firmly believes squirrels, cats, and other tiny fast-moving creatures are highly suspicious and should be investigated at full speed. Because of this, a home without cats is a must. The squirrels, however, have been warned and remain fair game. After a full day — or at least a good walk and a game of fetch — this gal is more than happy to crash on the couch with her people for cuddles and a full-on Love Island binge session. Athletic, gorgeous… and emotionally available? Honestly, Reyna is setting unrealistic standards for the rest of us. Local adoption fee is $300(in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
When you look at Phineas, you might see a big tough-looking dog at first, but what you are actually beholding is the babiest baby to ever baby in the history of babies. Phineas was born to snuggle. It is his life's purpose, and he knows that. Phineas wants to be one with your couch, your bed, your blankets, and you. He understands on a cellular level how important it is to be comfy cozy 100% of the time. Phineas does not believe in the grindset mindset, he does not hustle, and he refuses to labor for the ruling class. He is deeply committed to a life of peace and comfort, and who are we to stand between him and the sofa of his dreams? Weight: 61.2 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Housebroken: Yes! They will potty outside every time. Crate-trained: Yes! They will settle in the crate easily and are comfortable staying in it for 4+ hours. Leash behavior: Working on it! They may have some behaviors that will require continued positive reinforcement training. Dog sociability: They don't like them! They do not get along with other dogs and need to be the only dog in the home. Phineas has shown improvements in his sociability with other dogs through training and careful socialization. He has come a long way and never stops impressing us! Cat sociability: They do not do well with cats! They will chase, bite, attack, or otherwise harm or frighten cats. Kid sociability: No kids, please! They are afraid of kids or reactive toward them, or they have a history of behaviors that make them incompatible with children. Likes: CUDDLING! But also squeaky toys, Kongs, and being wrapped up in soft blankies at bedtime Dislikes: Not being wrapped up in soft blankies at bedtime If you’d like to meet Phineas, please fill out an adoption application at animalcareleague.org/adoptions and send us an email at adoption@animalcareleague.org to schedule an introduction!

Story
Jager is a sweet boy who needs a nice home to give him a shot! Jager came to ACL as a young dog, likely barely a year old, tied up near the shelter. Over a year later, he still has not had a foster break or much adoption interest. Jager is being as patient as we could ever expect, but he is always excited for the day that someone will come and take him home! He is one of the most affectionate dogs in the world, and will do anything for some love and praise (and treats!) With every new person he meets, all he ever wants are some head scratches, a fun game of tug, and a nice long walk. Weight: 50 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Housebroken: Working on it! They're doing well on a schedule but will have occasional accidents in the home. Crate-trained: Unknown! They have never been crated while in our care. Leash behavior: Working on it! They are still learning what the leash is all about and may have some behaviors that will require continued positive reinforcement training. Dog sociability: They don't like them! They do not get along with other dogs and need to be the only dog in the home. Cat sociability: They do not do well with cats! They will chase, bite, attack, or otherwise harm or frighten cats. Kid sociability: Unknown! They have never met children while in our care. Likes: Scritches from everyone, friendship, the concept of love Dislikes: anything that stands between him and getting his required cuddles If you’d like to meet Jager, please fill out an adoption application at animalcareleague.org/adoptions and send us an email at adoption@animalcareleague.org!
