Steven came to AHS when his previous owner no longer had the time to give him the love and attention he deserves. Now, he’s dreaming of a home where he can truly shine. Steven is a total pro when it comes to home life—he’s both house- and crate-trained! He’s a playful pup who loves spending time with kids and can even be feline-friendly with a nice, slow introduction. Brains and charm? He’s got both! Steven is a quick learner and has already mastered commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “up.” With his loving personality and eagerness to please, Steven is ready to be your loyal sidekick. If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Rex is a 1.5 year old male Rottweiler who weighs in at 80 pounds.  This dog's adoption fee is $350.  If you are still interested, please read more below. Rex is an 18-month-old pure-bred Rottweiler with a cropped tail. He had hip surgery when he was roughly 10 months old and has fully recovered. He is a playful and active “puppy”. He is good with other large dogs (not tested with other sizes but his foster believes he would become a fast friend). He is food motivated, but not food aggressive at all. He is crate trained and potty trained. He lets you know by either “pawing” you or “talking” to you. He loves people, is very good with kids, and wants to be around you. He loves to chew, so rugged stuffed animals/chew toys are a must. He knows basic commands but would benefit from obedience training. Rex is an energetic gentle soul – a total lover boy in dog form. Rex is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, housebroken, and neutered. This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today!  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! Barkley is a sweet 5 yr old rottie mix. She has been in rescue over 3 years. She needs to find her forever home. She does have a high prey drive, so no cats or small dogs. She has done absolutely fine with older children. She has not been exposed to smaller kids other than walking through the store and did fine. She has been completely vetted and is house and crate trained. She loves her belly rubs and will often wait for you to give her one before coming inside. She has no issues
