Story
We bought a dog that I believe is a Rottweiler mix. He is about 1 1/2 years old, fixed, and he is a very sweet dog. unfortunately my 5-year-old pit mix is not handling another large male dog very well. After trying to make it work, I honestly do not think the situation is going to work out good and I do not want anything to happen to either dog.The dog is good around people and my kids, good around other dogs seems to be potty trained, hasn't had any accidents and lets me know when he wants to go out, he does have a lot of energy. Unfortunately, I do not know his vaccination history. He is very playful and all around just a very sweet dog.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant.NOTE- ROSA IS LISTED AS A COURTESY FOR ANOTHER RESCUE ORGANIZATION.  PLEASE SEE CONTACT INFO BELOW. Rosa is a mature adult Rotteweiler who may be 7-9 years old and weighs about 90 pounds. Even though Rosa was missing some hair and hasn't been taken the best care of, someone taught her how to sit and shake hands. She's a sensitive girl who was been upset by losing her family and is comforted by the presense of her foster mom. She would even happier in her very own home with a new family!Rosa is a strong girl who will need a physically capable adopter as she can pull pretty hard on leash. She has been reactive to other dogs and cats in her foster home so being an only child will set her up to be the most successful! We know there are so many great people out there how love rotties! We just need to find one that will give Rosa the happy ending we want for her!A reduced adoption fee of $100 does apply for Rosa, our seniors, special medical and behavioral needs dogs and other 'slow to adopt' dogs!Augusta Dog Adoptions is an all- volunteer, foster- based rescue. We take applications online schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, VA. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. Family conflicts made it difficult for her to receive the best care. She hasn't really been socialized to the outside world, so is in need of a special person to help her navigate life and love her and make her the best dog she can be.  Zodi is overweight due to lack of exercise so she will need a diet and exercise plan in her new home. We recommend the adopter be familiar with the breed and able to continue to work with Zodi on socialization and training. Zodi is not good with cats or children, and we are not sure how she is with other dogs as it's been a while since she has been around them.  Since Zodi has been with the same person for most of her life, she is understandably a little protective of that person.  She also can be protective of her food so care should be taken. Zodi is housebroken; will need to be brought up to date on vaccinations and spayed, and skin and ear issues taken care of.    Zodi could be a great dog if given a chance. She has been abandoned by the person who promised  would train her and take care of her. The person who purchased her from the breeder has abandoned her in the care of a family member who is no longer able to care for Zodi due to their own health concerns.  Zodi is being house currently in Hanover PA.If you are interested in adopting Zodi and giving her a great life, please contact:Judy   Judyc6625@gmail.com  or fill out an application at www.reachoutrescue.org   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 28, 2026, 11:37 am

Story
Meet Tilly Mae ❤️ Tilly Mae is a beautiful 2-year-old, 65-pound spayed female Rottweiler who is looking for the perfect forever home. Her former owner fell on difficult times and wanted better for her than ending up in a crowded Tennessee shelter. Thankfully, a kind-hearted man named Steve stepped in to foster her, and now Critter Cavalry Rescue is helping Tilly Mae find the loving, Rottie-savvy family she deserves. Tilly Mae is everything people love about the Rottweiler breed — intelligent, loyal, devoted, and full of personality. She is still very much a puppy at heart with lots of energy and enthusiasm for life. She loves walks, exploring new places, car rides, toys, bones, and ending the day snuggled up on the couch or bed with her people. Tilly knows basic commands including sit, stay, and paw. She is crate trained, house trained, rides calmly in the car, and is up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Like many intelligent guardian breeds, Tilly can be cautious in new situations and may bark when she is excited or unsure while getting comfortable in a new environment. Her foster has worked hard on socialization, and she has never shown aggression toward people or animals. Once she settles in, her sweet and affectionate side shines brightly. Tilly would thrive with an active, confident family that understands the Rottweiler breed and can continue her training and provide strong, loving leadership. She could do well as an only dog or possibly with another compatible dog friend. She has not been tested with cats or children. This gorgeous girl is looking for patience, structure, adventure, and love — and in return she will give incredible loyalty and companionship. If you’ve been searching for a devoted best friend and understand the amazing qualities of the Rottweiler breed, Tilly Mae may be your perfect match. ❤️ PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comMay 29, 2026, 9:46 am
