Ethika, “Tika” for short, is a gentle, sweet soul. Pulled from PG County’s euthanasia list, Tika enjoys days filled with time around her guardian(s), long naps, belly rubs, and snackies. She gently takes snacks, too. When you give her pets, she closes her eyes and her tail wags with every pet! She knows “sit”, too! Tika also wants you to know that she doesn’t like crates! But she’s happy to be in a space with a bed for her! Tika is house trained and enjoys walks – she wags her tail when she sees her leash! She is a dream on a leash – she follows where you ask her to and doesn’t pull. She also makes sure to check in with you during your walks. Tika walks by humans (little and big), dogs, and cats alike and doesn’t react. She enjoys a cozy bed and a small space to play fetch. Tika is adjusting to stairs, but would be most comfortable in a home that doesn’t have a lot of stairs! Tika would be a great companion for someone who would like easy-going and calm company. She would thrive in a home where someone is home most the day, hang out on the sofa, and watch daytime television together, with a kong toy to enjoy.
