Story
Kash is a 4 year old purebred rottweiler. He was abandoned and unfortunately I can no longer afford to feed him. I’m looking for an adult only home for him as he’s never had any form of training and has a few problematic behaviors. He has severe food aggression and has never been socialized with other dogs, although he lived with a cat and doesn’t seem to mind them. I don’t recommend him being around small children. He has seen a vet recently about his cherry eye and it was determined that it’s completely safe and doesn’t bother him at all. With the right love and care, Kash has the potential to be a snuggly sweetheart, he is definitely more of a lover than a fighter!

Story
We are looking to re-home our 70lb, 2.75 year old Rottie. He unfortunately no longer fits in our household. I am devastated but unfortunately it's what is best at this time. He is house trained, knows place, knows sit, off, and stay, walks mostly in a heal on leash, loves going on long hikes or walks but also enjoys short ones. He enjoys sleeping in his crate at night and is crate trained. He knows gentle when taking treats but can get excited about it. He gets 2.5 cups of food in the morning and evening, he gets an omega3 pill in the mornings with his breakfast for a healthy coat. He has a flea/tick collar which should be good until October. He is up to date on his shots. He is a sweet boy who enjoys a shower when the shower head is close to his body but is scared of puddles of water and will walk around them. He needs someone who will love him and pamper him, he deserves the world! He is happy to curl up on the floor with you (or couch if you let him). He loves his beds!

Story
Rich, velvety, and iconically classic, meet Hersey Kiss, a ten-year-old Rottweiler mix. Arriving at Little Shelter in February, she immediately had a long line of staff and volunteers vying to be her Valentine, winning everyone over with her gentle demeanor and adventurous spirit. Always available for a walk and good conversation, she’s often seen out and about with her favorite people, soaking up all the well-deserved attention. While undergoing her routine medical evaluation, there were, however, some concerns, which unfortunately resulted in a cancer diagnosis. With an estimated prognosis of a year or so, our hope is to see Hersey spend her remaining time in a real home, surrounded by love and family as she determinedly lives life to the fullest. Continually optimistic and happy, she always chooses to walk down the sunny side of the street, grateful for every moment. While you provide her with a cozy bed and a seat at your dinner table, we will continue to supply her medical care, as well as offering support and direction for the days ahead. This is rare opportunity to make a genuine difference for the purest soul you’ll ever meet. If you’re interested in becoming a hospice/foster adopter for Hersey Kiss, please call the adoption office for more information.

Story
Tiny arrived at the shelter after being found with nails over-grown and paw-pads bleeding. A good soul found her and brought her immediately to a local vet where they were able to prescribe medication to help her. After a few days of no owner coming forward, she was brought to the shelter. She was initially very scared and didn't want to make any friends, (we know how scary this can be!) But every day, she started to relax a little bit. At any given day, you can find her snuggled up in her multitude of blankets and bedding in her kennel. She is loving walks with her buddies and is now looking for a family to call her own. Tiny is a Rottie Mix, about 1.5 yrs old and 73 pounds. She would love a home where she gets to be everywhere you are. She wants to go on walks, play time in the yard or just taking in as much love as you can give. She LOVES to meet new people, including kids (8yrs old+), while she has shown to be ok with other dogs, she can become pushy so we recommend her to be around submissive males, and upon our behavior teams discretion. Lola Foster/Home Needed – Long Island, NY Lola is not a show girl, but she’s certainly pretty enough to be. This beautiful 10yr old Rotti was taken in by a guardian angel when her owner sadly passed away. Lola loves attention and adventures. She loves people but can be selective with other dogs and with cats. It’s best for Lola to be the only pet in the home. A fully fenced yard is a must. If you are interested in being the new home this pretty Rotti needs, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or go to our FB page or call the number listed below. Story
Hello. My pets name is Kairo. He is a purebred Rottweiler that I’ve had since he was a puppy. AKC certified. He still has his tail. He is about 150lbs. He is house trained, knows basic commands, and very kind. He has been socialized since a pup and has always been around people. I have a 2 yr old who he has been around his entire life without issue. He’s a protector and guardian at heart. He loves to play fetch, run around outside and if he sees a soccer ball or any ball, it’s game time. He is very food motivated. What I’m looking for in a new home is for someone who is experienced with big dogs. Someone who understands how to build a relationship with a dog. Someone who is not afraid of the size and willing to understand him. He is a great companion. Preferably a home with a secure area for him. I can assure you that he is a phenomenal dog with a great heart and no ill intent. I have NEVER seen him ever have ill intentions or even growl.
