Story
ALL our cats and dogs are in the NY area but can be adopted out of state to the purrfect furever home.  In some cases, we can help transport.  Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions  follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:)     Sweet 4m old Nes from Puerto Rico.  All dogs are located in NY/NJ area All our puppies need puppy play dates/doggy facetime so we recommend homes with other pups or daily interactions to keep them tired out, happy and social.     Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff  Instagram: zanisfurryfriends   Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD on age appropriate vaccines, Rabies vaxed, and microchipped (not Lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it!)  All are in the NY/NJ area but we will adopt out of state to the purrfect home and in some cases, we can arrange transport.  Please go to our site  https://zanisfurryfriends.org  fill out an application  Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application early Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too.   Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us info@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet.  It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Saturdays or Sundays, weather dependent  Follow us on FB, Zani's Furry Friends ZFF, for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.

Story
Meet Denver –A Handsome Family Dog in Urgent Need of a New Home; heading to ACC shelter December 19th Denver’s journey began in the most heartbreaking way—found as a tiny puppy in a dumpster in Queens. Thankfully, he was rescued and has grown up surrounded by love and care. Sadly, Denver now urgently needs a new home. The family’s mom, who became Denver’s primary caregiver, has recently moved into a much smaller apartment and no longer has the strength or energy to keep up with his needs. Because of his size, she has struggled to find him a new home; she is heartbroken as he is so loved. She is dedicated to finding him a safe home. Denver is a 3 years old, Shep/Rottie male and weighs 87 lbs. He is a very playful energetic dog who loves his people. He has lived with young children but has no experience with other dogs or cats. As always, a dog introduction is needed. He is crate trained and knows his basis commands; he is very smart and eager to learn more. .

Story
Lola Foster/Home Needed – Long Island, NY Lola is not a show girl, but she’s certainly pretty enough to be. This beautiful 10yr old Rotti was taken in by a guardian angel when her owner sadly passed away. Lola loves attention and adventures. She loves people but can be selective with other dogs and with cats. It’s best for Lola to be the only pet in the home. A fully fenced yard is a must. If you are interested in being the new home this pretty Rotti needs, please contact adoptions@paws-li.org or go to our FB page or call the number listed below. Story
Meet Sugar, a 3.5-year-old Rottweiler with a heart as big as his name! This handsome boy has a gentle, playful side that shines once he feels comfortable. He loves rope and squeaky toys, enjoys playing with his handler, and has even been social and friendly with other dogs. Sugar knows his basic cues like sit and down and walks nicely on leash. He’s sweet and affectionate with people he trusts, though he can be a bit shy at first, especially with men, but warms up quickly once he feels safe. Sugar will need an adult-only home that can manage his resource guarding around food, and help him continue building positive associations through training and patience. Sugar previously lived with cats and was playful with them, showing he can be a wonderful companion with the right match. This lovable Rottie is ready to find a confident, caring family who will help him shine! If you are interested in learning more about Sugar, contact our placement team at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter:E: Adoption@hempsteadny.govE: Foster@hempsteadny.govE: Rescue@hempsteadny.govT.516.785.5220#adoptme #rescue #rescuerottie #Rottweiler #rottie #adoptionistheoption #adoptabledog #shelterdogsrule #takemehome #adoptable #animalshelter #dog #dogoftheday
