scheduled post to SM for 9/23/2023Hans arrived with 6 other dogs and 5 cats, after their owner was hospitalized, with no family willing to take all the animals, they all came to the shelter. Hans is a 6yr old, 44.5 pound Rottweiler mix. Shelter life hasn't been easy for this sweet boy, he is shy upon first meeting someone but with a calm nature, he opens up to the sweetest boy! Hans needs a place to decompress, he isn't very playful (yet!) but he does appreciate a stroll outside. Our poor boy is starting to shut down after only being here a short amount of time. The stress of the shelter is hard, and our hearts are breaking for this sweet boy. A low-traffic home where he can learn to trust again, we recommend him with teens (16yrs old+), we hope he doesn't have to stay in the shelter much longer!! Our veterinary partner estimates that Percy is 6 years old at the time of intake in June 2023. Percy is good with people and other dogs. Percy is the sweetest boy ever, yet that didn't stop some monster from dumping Percy by tossing him out of a car. Fortunately for Percy, he was tossed right into our rescue and he has now received the medical care he required for a nasty wound behind his ear. This is a nice dog who has participated in play groups at the shelter and seems to not mind the company of other dogs. She walks well on leash and enjoys going for walks and being outdoors. Lola is crate-trained and housebroken. She has good indoor manners as she was an indoor dog. It appears that her previous family fed her mostly table scraps and neglected to exercise her. She’s doing very well adjusting to her foster home environment.
