Hi there, let me tell you a little about myself. I like nothing better than hanging with my people at home or going on walks. I walk nicely on a leash and love exploring and sniffing while out. I'm a chill girl and very well-behaved in the home. I do all my pottying outside, and although I don't need to be crated, and I will even hang out in my crate if you need me to. I sleep in my crate in my foster home and love to lay alongside my people on the couch. I am a gentle girl and take my treats so nicely. I'm an 11-year-old Sharpei/Boxer mix who is very healthy and weighs around 60 lbs. I'm unsure what it means, but my foster mom always tells me how gorgeous I am. I sound just about perfect, don't I? I like other dogs well enough and don't mind passing them when we walk, but I would be better in a home without dogs, cats and small children. I can even play in the yard with some, but I'm not particularly eager to share my space or my things with them, so I'm looking for a forever home where I'm the only dog. I should clarify that I don't mind sharing my things with people; it's just the other dogs I don't want to share with. And cats? Well, my foster Mom says I'm way too interested in cats to be able to share a home with any. I don't have a lot of experience with young children, so my foster mom thinks I should stick to adults and teens because I may not do well with the energy of a younger child. Anyway, that's my story. I’ve had Cass for 7years. His previous owners had named him Cassius and we shortened it to Cass. Two things about him that people always say is that he’s very sweet and they forget he’s around because he’s quiet. If he’s indoors he might join everyone where they’re at but usually he stays in his bed. When he’s outside he loves to slow down and smell everything. I would really like him to find a home where his new mom/dad will take him for unrushed walks or someone with a backyard/land. If you’re rushed with walking that’s the one thing he really enjoys (besides good food) so I’d hate for him not to have that. He loves massages and cuddling. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Priya is a happy, adventurous puppy who’s ready to find her forever home! At 13 weeks old and about 20 pounds, this Shar Pei/Lab mix is full of curiosity, confidence, and playful energy. Priya loves being outside, whether she’s running around the yard or playing tug-of-war with the other dogs in her foster home. She’s an independent and curious pup who enjoys exploring but is always ready to jump into playtime with her people or furry friends. She’s already doing great with potty training and is crate trained, making her an easy addition to a loving household. Priya does wonderfully with kids and gets along well with both big and small dogs. She also loves chewing on bones and toys to keep herself entertained.
