Story
Goldie is our sweet and lovable 9 year old Boxer mix, around 50 lbs. She's housebroken, very loving and doesn't meet a stranger - this girl loves people. Her owner had to move and couldn't take Goldie with her. She is great in the home, likes going for walks, loves chasing balls and has a sweet personality. She also loves other dogs her size and bigger. She would LOVE to have a fenced yard to run around in. The ideal fence for Goldie is a 6 ft wood fence which she has in her foster home. Goldie chases cats, so no cats in the home please. She is current on shots and also spayed. She’s just waiting for the right home now, is that you? April 25, 2024, 12:01 am

Story
I found duke on the side of the road scraped up and very skinny. He was fidgety towards every little movement and very nervous. He has come around a whole lot now and I believe he is ready for a new home. He is sweet and playful. He doesn’t bark much but nothing is wrong w him. He’s calm and great around kids. He does get excited and jumps but he doesn’t mean any harm. With the proper training, he will be a perfect fit in anyone’s home. He loves to run but doesn’t play fetch much. Loves toys, cuddles and belly scratches. He’s really a good dog

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Hi, I'm Milton and I'm being fostered by a dog trainer who's getting me ship-shape for the lucky people who adopt me. I love to play with toys or just hang out in the backyard with you. My foster mom says I look like a gremlin when I run around the yard, probably because of a big scar across my back. I don't talk about that -- it's in the past and I'm looking forward to a bright future with you! I do like the security of having my own private den (aka crate), especially when you must be away from home or if I eat in the company of other dogs. I may bark a little when you leave, so apartments, townhomes, or condos probably won't work because not all neighbors are understanding. The best part of me is that my foster mom will provide two FREE training sessions to make sure I settle in just perfectly to my new pad. Free training and a laid-back dude like me as your BFF -- that's a deal, right? Age: 2-3 years Weight: 65 lbs Temperament: Prefers calm, routine home and female dogs of the same size. Requires calm/older kids and sturdy adult handlers. Training: House trained, crate trained, knows commands, good off-leash Vetting: neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative. Questions: Schelby.Stuckey@gmail.com Adoption Fee: Waived; vet reference, background, and home check required. To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application ( www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption ) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $250; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.April 26, 2024, 9:18 am

Story
Meri desperately needs a foster or forever home! Meri is a sweet, affectionate goober of a Boxer mix that was saved from being euthanized at Dekalb Animal Control. She has been in a temp foster home and we're trying to keep her from going back to the pound.   She is 2 years old, and she loves to play. She also loves people and wants to please. Meri’s happy to follow you around and hang out wherever you are. She’s been through a lot, and we've been working with her to build her confidence and reassurance after being abandoned. She's thriving in her foster home and gaining more and more confidence.   She loves dogs and she loves cars. You don't have to ask her twice to take a car ride. She plays hard and respects when another dog tells her to back off but sometimes, she'll come back again in case they changed their mind and want to play. If she lives with another dog, it would be best if that dog is playful like her.   She is shy and timid with new people, and she will bark at them initially. If you ignore her, she stops barking pretty quickly and then she wants to be your best friend. She would benefit from a compassionate foster or adopter that would help her know she is safe. She makes friends for life, so once she meets you, you’re in. She thrives in a home with a routine. She would make a great running, walking, hiking partner and has no problem keeping up.   She is so sweet. She is housetrained and crate trained and goes in her crate easily. She likes to have some toys in her crate when she has to be in there. She has no food or toy guarding issues and she is non-destructive. She is very affectionate and eager to please and she loves snuggles. She is very treat/food motivated and takes food gently from your hand. She is very easy to train. Please consider giving this sweet girl a chance. Thank you!   Age: 2 years   Weight: 48 lbs Temperament: Gets along with all adults and older respectful kids, dogs around her size.  Training: House trained and Crate-trained. Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative and on prevention.   For questions about Maizie, please email,   aimiablepetcare@aol.com.  &#226&#128&#139To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Story
Great family dog and dog companionKobe's love for other dogs and humans is boundless. He loved running with his foster sibling in the foster home, often following her around and letting her show him the ropes. He also loves blankets, cuddles, and naps with his humans. Kobe's is also learning to appreciate his alone time. With the help of short practice sessions and chew toys, he's mastering the art of self-entertainment. His ability to seamlessly switch between playtime and naptime, makes him a great companion for work-at-home folks. Kobe's intelligence is a standout feature. He's a smart and food-motivated boy who already grasps commands like "sit" and "down", especially when hand signals are paired with verbal commands. He'd be great at agility training and dock jumping or an excellent running/walking partner. Mostly Kobe just loves having dogs and humans around to pal around with. Who doesn't need a happy-go-lucy buddy like the Kobester? Age:  2 years Weight:  40 lbs    Vetting:  neutered, scheduled to update vaccines and heartworm negative   Temperament: Loves people and dogs and bigger, sturdy kids.  Training: House trained, crate trained (though not a huge fan)  For questions please email: sheltersxshelvesrescue@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.
