Meet Oakley | Apply Here | Videos Oakley is a 1-year-old Shar Pei mix weighing 24 lbs, with the softest wrinkles and a whole lot of personality to match. Oakley and his sister Fern were rescued from Gangneung Shelter in South Korea during Operation Noel in December 2024. While Fern found her forever home last spring, Oakley stayed behind to continue growing and building confidence with the help of our team in Korea. Over the past year, he’s matured beautifully and is now ready for his next chapter. Since arriving in NYC, Oakley has hit the ground running. He stepped off the plane curious and confident, immediately exploring his surroundings with enthusiasm. In foster care, he’s settling in wonderfully. He loves his walks and happily bounces along the sidewalks, taking everything in. At home, Oakley is equally content playing with his toys or curling up for a well earned nap, depending on the vibe. Oakley is a joyful, adaptable young dog who’s ready to bring his charm, wrinkles, and energy into a loving forever home. You don’t have to wait for an adoption event. Our veterinary partner estimates that Bebe is 1 years old at the time of intake in September 2024, so he would be about 2 years old as of August 2025. Bebe is good with people and other dogs. He can be very active, giving lots of kisses and jumping around. He can also be very sweet and cuddly. He is not a fan of water.Bebe was found neglected on the streets, attacked by other dogs, trying to survive the best he could. Bebe's foster mom reports that he is settling in well and learning how to be a dog from his siblings. He is a playful boy and does love his toys and chews.
