Story
Nala is a very affectionate and loving dog. I got her from a friend and was grateful enough to have her in my family for many years. She is 5 years old. Unfortunately I have moved and my new lease will not allow pets. It will be sad to let her go but I am hopeful someone will be able to provide a loving home for her.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bebe is a 60-pound male Shar Pei sweetheart with string-bean legs, a big heart, and an even bigger personality just waiting to fully bloom. He can be very shy and unsure in new environments—when he leaves the house, he sometimes shuts down—but every now and then, the right dog will bring out his silly side for a brief little spark of joy. And once he feels safe? That’s when Bebe shines.Inside his comfort zone, he’s pure goofy energy. He bounces through the house like a clumsy toddler, launches himself off furniture like it’s parkour practice, and proudly believes he’s a lap dog. He’s affectionate, loves to lick other dogs (and your hands), and has never met a canine friend he didn’t adore—though he sometimes needs a reminder that not everyone appreciates his full enthusiasm at first hello. He hates the rain and loves cheese. He will happily help you open any bag. Bebe is also a professional scavenger: Empty dog bowls? Licked. Cooking in the kitchen? Supervised closely. Any bag opening? He arrives instantly, convinced it’s shredded mozzarella. He loves cheese, clean blankets (and may “test” them if left alone), and will beg for food from a respectful distance—sitting perfectly still, eyes locked like a tiny statue of determination. He has a deep, dramatic “hellhound” bark when he spots bunnies, birds, or suspicious neighborhood activity, and will happily alert you to absolutely everything happening outside.Bebe is looking for a patient, dog-savvy home with a playful canine sibling who understands his big, bouncy, affectionate energy and helps him feel safe enough to let his silly side shine. If you fall in love with all those adorable wrinkles, please apply online to adopt Bebe (TX) at www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. Bebe's adoption fee is $500.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 20, 2026, 1:19 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Truffle (GA): The Wrinkly Wonder with a Heart of Gold! Hi, I’m Truffle (GA)—a 4-year-old Shar Pei/French Bulldog mix (maybe?) with enough wrinkles to store your secrets and enough sweetness to melt your heart.Truffle has the biggest heart and an even bigger love for cuddles. After raising a litter of puppies, she’s ready for a life where she gets to be the one who’s spoiled. She’s been thriving in her foster home, where everyone has fallen in love with her sweet personality. Truffle gets along with other dogs and cats and would love a family to call her own. Her favorite things are simple: short walks, tasty treats, belly rubs, and curling up beside her favorite person on the couch. She’s very food-motivated and absolutely lights up when you tell her how pretty she is. In fact, she’ll bounce up and down with excitement when you talk to her or offer her a treat—it’s one of her most adorable quirks! Truffle previously had a cancerous growth removed and has had no recurrence. She’s healthy, happy, and ready to leave her past behind for the loving forever home she deserves. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily trade endless snuggles for a few treats and kind words, Truffle is waiting to meet you. She has so much love to give and can’t wait to spend the rest of her life being someone’s cherished best friend. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend, a professional couch snuggler, and a dog whose tail never stops wagging when you tell her she’s beautiful, Truffle is waiting to meet you. If you would like to adopt Truffle (GA), and invite her into your comfortable, loving home as a family member well loved and safe, please put your application in here: www.rescuedogsrocknyc.org. Please also be sure to reference this pet's name as Truffle (GA) in case of duplicate names within the rescue. Story
Meet Bailey — our 60-pound shar pei mixed lovebug with the sweetest surprise: a perfect little heart marking on his back to match the giant one in his chest. He joined us from the shelter in Forked River (Associated Humane Societies – Forked River) and has been stealing hearts ever since. With a smile so wide and tongue that flops out the side with joy, who can resis that boy?   At 7 years old, Bailey is the perfect blend of mature and playful. He’s past the puppy chaos but still full of personality and joy. His absolute favorite pastime? Watching TV. And not casually — he has opinions. Love Is Blind is currently his show of choice, and he’ll happily binge alongside you, fully invested in the drama.   Every single morning, Bailey has a non-negotiable ritual: he demands to hold hands with his foster. It started sweet… and now it’s the official way to begin the day. He reaches out, locks in, and won’t let go until he’s satisfied. It’s safe to say this boy bonds deeply and loves hard. Bailey also takes his personal growth seriously. Regular trips to The Home Depot are part of his training routine, where he works on manners, confidence, and remaining focused through distractions. He’s smart, eager to learn, and thrives when given structure and praise. He’s affectionate, interactive, and happiest when included in his people’s daily life — whether that’s errands, training sessions, couch time, or morning cuddle rituals. Bailey is ready for a forever home that will celebrate his quirks, honor his hand-holding contract, and love the sweet boy with the heart on his back.   Bailey is best suited for a home with dog-savvy adults, maybe one that understands shar peis. They love their people with an unmatched loyalty and devotion. So, with new people, he needs a warm-up period and patience. Once you are in his circle of trust, the sky is the limit!   When you adopt Bailey, you’re not just getting a dog — you’re getting a best friend who literally holds onto you. Bailey will only have eyes for his family, so he asks to be the only pet in the home.   If interested in adopting Bailey, please complete an application, which can be found on our website at www.twentypawsrescue.com/forms-applications . Please note that due to an email glitch, sometimes emails get lost. We respond to all emails so if you don’t hear back from us, please follow up!  March 18, 2026, 12:16 am
