He will patiently wait until you’ve stopped loving him even after he’s had his fill. His sweet soul will shine through after one look into his gentle eyes. Tyler enjoys playing with his sister and chasing her in the yard. He plays nicely with children, too. He enjoys his naps after lengthy playtimes.Amber is a princess in every sense of the word! She loves being pampered and massaged. She’ll let you know that she wants some petting by nudging your hand. She loves bath time and considers it her personal spa time! Amber is a sweet and sassy girl who looks and acts more like a puppy. This quirky girl will perform for you to get more attention. She’s a smart and funny pup who will melt your heart!Both Tyler and Amber are 11 year old Shar Pei/German Shepherd mixes who are heart worm free, up to date on vaccinations, neutered/spayed and microchipped. He had anxiety in the home which started progressing. Rovie did live with another dog, who he did well with. I’m Iggy Pop, a 2-year-old Shar Pei/ Terrier Mix weighing 50 pounds. Found as a stray by a kind “good sam”, I was in pretty rough shape. Thanks to my friends here at the MCSPCA, I’m back on my feet, ready to go on tour and find my forever home! Like a true punk rocker, I can get easily rowdy on my walks if I get bored or frustrated. In the meantime, while my adopters help with my leash walking skills, a yard for me to run around in would be a dream lifestyle for me! Need an autograph or a selfie? No problem! I’m never one to shy away from my fans, oops I mean people. One social dude, I love seeking attention and affection from everyone I meet…..especially my foster parents! Being in a home, giving me a break from shelter life has been invigorating! While I have free roam of the home, I generally spend most of my day napping in my bed or running in the fenced yard. I love toys, but will rip them apart, so it’s best to constantly have a backup for me. I don’t want to brag, but I’m also a smart guy with major stage presence. My fosters reported back that I know cues such as Sit, Down, Paw, Spin, Roll Over, Crawl, Stay, Come and Go to Bed. The possibilities are endless with what else I’m able to learn! Always wanted a pittie with a fun loving melody for life? The Monmouth County SPCA is open for walk-ins every day, starting at noon!

Estelle was found in terrible shape, very, very sick. Estelle required surgery to repair a stomach lining problem and then went through treatment for heartworm. Estelle has some side effects of heartworm treatment including an enlarged heart and thickenings of the lungs. We anticipate Estelle will be heartworm negative soon (based on her treatment) but the damage to her lungs is just something that will have to be managed for the remainder of her life. Estelle LOVES people! She is not a fan of other dogs or cats so she needs to be the only pet in the home. We are looking for a unicorn for Estelle...could it be you?
