Hello East Coast Humans, my name is Velma, and I am a fantastic Shar Pei/Mastiff mix puppy, now about 5 months old, and I weigh about 30 lbs. It was freezing cold weather the day I was abandoned at a gas station in Von Ormy, Texas, and bless my lucky stars when a customer rescued me. That nice lady is now my foster mom, and I am now safe and sound, vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and ready to find a forever home! My foster mom wants you to know that, besides having a lovely personality, I am also smart as a whip. I catch on to things very quickly, and figured out the doggy door on day 2 just by watching the other dogs. I am a friendly girl with everyone, kids, strangers, cats, and dogs, and I play very nicely and appropriately. Even at my young age, I understand dog social cues, and won't bother the senior dogs by trying to play with them. I have already learned some basic commands, and it’s obvious that I aim to please. I am affectionate and snuggly, not the kissy type, so I won't be slobbering all over you, but I love pets and snuggles and will cozy up beside you whenever you sit down on the couch to relax. I enjoy dog toys and playing tug-of-war with anyone willing, and I love dog treats. I am already well-behaved, housebroken, and rarely bark. I will be a wonderful addition to any East Coast family, so inquire about me today! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. RUSS is a gorgeous fully vetted male who looks to have some Shar pei and maybe Husky in him - look at those forehead wrinkles! He's a little unsure about the change in his circumstances right now, but he's going through decompression quiet low stimulation time which should help him relax and acclimate. We did get him fully vetted, and his foster is just getting to know him a bit, and says he's a sweet boy who is doing well with other dogs and likes attention. He's vet estimated at 4 years old or so, and came in at 54 lbs there. We'll report back with more pics and info as soon as we get them from his foster. 👉 Adoption fee INCLUDES: all vetting to age (including deworming, flea & tick etc), spay/neuter and microchip (if the dog is under 6 months, alter and chip will occur after they're 6 months, covered in full at our clinic or reimbursed partially at a vet of your choosing). BRUNO is a gorgeous shar-pei who's just over 60 lbs and described as just an "awesome dog". He's got a great, friendly personality, is great on a leash and loves walks, knows basic commands, and has a wonderful demeanor. He's okay with kids but prefers older high school kids to younger kids who can make him a bit nervous. He's good with some females dogs, but not most male dogs. No cats for Bruno. He's great on a leash and loves long walks. He'll make someone a perfect new family member. Bruno has somehow been with us for TWO YEARS now - lost in a sea of black dogs, we guess. We'd say he's edging into Senior territory for his size, but early. Kopi is a smart and loyal dog but also very protective of one of the owners to a point that she started to go after our other older sharpei. She just turned 5 years old. She is house trained and listens to some basic commands. Need experienced adopter who understands Sharpei traits and no other dog household. She watches TV with us and is a couch potato. Loves her walks daily and her chew toys. She does not have any of the typical Sharpei skin, eyes, health, etc. issues and only need her bathe once every couple months. She is an indoor dog but she also likes exploring our fenced in backyard daily. She will not be suitable to be in any big and busy city environment as she does not like crowds and traffic noises.
