Story
Amelia is such a sweetheart. She loves to cuddle and give you kisses and little nibbles. She will follow you everywhere and is not at all interested in running away - she does not like to be left alone or left behind. She is the perfect mid-sized companion and will be a very affectionate, loyal friend. She seldom barks. Isn't she cute - with those button ears?Amelia is not at all aggressive, and at times can be a bit shy. She is so eager to trust but is sometimes a little unsure and cautious. She loves to see familiar people and loves to play with their dogs when we go for walks each morning, noon and night. She enjoys riding in the car and is very well behaved on outings to dog-friendly restaurants, wineries and outdoor events. She and her foster brother play well together. They will chase each other and share toys. Amelia is also content to play quietly with toys by herself. She is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, heartworm prevention, and is microchipped. She is spayed. Amelia has graduated potty-training 101. We are so proud of her. She is proud of herself and really shows how happy she is when she hears she's been a good girl. She gets a good belly scratch. If you have dogs or cats, as always, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we always recommend supervision between animals and children. Primary Color: Tan Secondary Color: Black Weight: 44 Age: 3yrs 8mths 4wks

Story
If you're looking for a happy-go-lucky girl that loves walks, hikes, humans, dogs, snuggles, and the like, then look no further. This sweet girl is nearly perfect! She can't help but make your day a little more "Rosie". She's house trained, crate trained, and does great on walks (and looooves an adventure - car rides, meeting friends, play dates - she's your girl)! She's still young and is best behaved after a little activity, but such a good pup. She's learning basic commands and spends her time trying to please her humans. She may be one of the happiest foster dogs we've met! While she does have heartworms, the friends of wake county has sponsored her $400 toward her treatment. And it's very treatable. Please ask any questions you may have. If you're ready for some joy in your life, email her foster mom atSarahf0305@gmail.com We can't wait to meet you! Story
At 36 pounds and five years young, Squish is a shar pei bully mix who’s all bark and no bite!  With his amazing wrinkles and playful personality, they're a lovable goofball. Squish is a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and older kids. Even the family cat is safe from their playful paws! But don't let their cuddly exterior fool you. This wrinkly wonder is a master of mischief! They love a good game of tug-of-war, chewing on sticks, and, unfortunately, your shoes. And once they've got their sights set on you, they're a stage-five clinger. So, if you're looking for a loyal, affectionate, and slightly chaotic companion, Squish might just be the perfect match. Just be prepared for a lifetime of love, laughter, and a few chewed-up shoes! ##2226899##

Story
(DOB 08/05/2020) Lady is heartworm positive, but don’t worry; our rescue will cover her treatment. She is eligible for adoption within one hour of Wake Forest, NC, while she’s undergoing her care. Lady, the squishy-faced sweetheart who’s as charming as they come! This lovable Shar-Pei mix has a heart as big as her adorable wrinkles, and she’s sure to melt your's with her playful personality, silly antics, and endless affection. Lady’s list of favorite things is full of fun! She’s a water lover, a treat enthusiast, and a big fan of “walkies.” Her playful side shines with her love for balls of all kinds—if they squeak or make noise, even better!! Lady has a talent for entertaining herself (and you) by tossing her toys around and chasing after them, bringing joy to everyone watching. But that’s not all, Lady’s a fantastic travel companion who loves car rides, especially when they lead to exciting adventures or a well-deserved treat like a pup cup. As the queen she is, Lady would prefer to rule her domain as the one and only fur-royalty. She’d thrive in a home with a fenced yard (5 feet or taller) where she can run and play to her heart’s content. However, she’s just as happy in a townhome or apartment as long as she gets her daily dose of walks and playtime. Lady is house-trained, crate-trained, and ready to bring her sunshine into your home. In her downtime, Lady is all about snuggles and affection. She’ll happily lounge near you, enjoy a mid-day nap, and indulge in some well-deserved belly rubs. You'll never be lonely with this wrinkle wonder by your side! Ready for a lifetime of fun, love, and snuggles? Lady is the one for you! As part of Lady’s $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Lady, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2163171##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. All Best Friend Pet Adoption dogs require an approved Best Friend Pet Adoption application. The link to our application is  https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC.  It can also be found on bfpa.org.    FOSTER COMMENTS:   Meet 3-4 month old Eno.  She is one of the Hawaiian Litter puppies.  Her momma, Tiki, is a 3 year old 30 lb rat terrier mix who is also pictured above.  We feel that Eno will be larger and probably at least 50 lbs when full grown.   Eno is very friendly with other people!  She loves everyone she meets.  Eno has been around, 4 yo and a 10 yo children.   She gets very excited but I insist “No jump” and she will sit down.  Puppies may nibble, bite and mouth so may not be appropriate for very young children unless they have had experience around dogs/puppies. We are working on potty training for Eno and she is getting better every day.  We use a crate for her but she can cry in it for hours.  I Leave her loose in the house for 2-3 hours and there are no accidents, and no damage, except an occasional magazine.  She has good house manners and can grow into not needing the crate.  Eno is very friendly with other dogs. I have introduced her to my pitbull and my girlfriend’s CaviPoo. No trouble at all.   We have two failed foster cats and they are all figuring it out.  A hiss from the cats tells Eno to back off.  Eno barks when the cats hiss at her but then they go their separate ways.  Eno loves to potty and play in her little fenced in courtyard best but is learning to walk gently on a leash.  I walk her with my 70-lb pitbull, Charlotte, and they stick together.  Eno’s activity level is high energy though she does sleep through the night and takes a nap with us every afternoon.  She is a gentle pup (though mouthy while her teeth are coming in).  She can occupy herself for long periods of time with her sisters’ toys. She especially loves a small deer antler to gnaw on.  Eno’s new home can have a furry friend or she would do well being the center of attention too.    Eno can't wait to see what exciting adventures life has waiting for her once she finds her forever home! She is packing up her toys already and can't wait to meet you. Please consider making Eno a part of your family.  She is a joy!  EVERY DOG HAS A STORY:   Eno's mother (Tiki) was rescued from a shelter and we didn't know she was pregnant. Her foster came home and discovered she had a litter of four sweet girls waiting for her.  What a surprise! Maybe you can open your home for one of these lucky puppies. They love dogs and all people.      Puppies may nibble, bite and mouth so may not be appropriate for very young children unless they have had experience around dogs/puppies.  Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed.  Applicants for puppies should ideally live 30 minutes from Cary NC (no further than one hour) since Eno must receive medical care in the Cary area. Best Friend Pet Adoption will cover all medical cost for Eno until she is spayed when she is 6 months old. Eno can start a trial adoption now and the adoption will be finalized after she is spayed.       INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ENO? Story
Camilla is looking for a new home. She's a 6y/o boxer mix, and is a very loving dog. She thrives when she has plenty of attention and room to run/play (either a yard or a few walks a day + play time). She's also really good with our 11 month old, always gentle and making her giggle with kisses. She's healthy and up to date on all vax, spayed, house trained, and responds really well to common commands. She's great with other dogs. She's spent the last 4 years with a brother Beagle and they've always been good to each other. She loves running and playing with other dogs when we go to the park as well. We've always made sure she had other pups to play with when we've left her with Rover sitters. We’re moving soon and have a few other life events coming up, so she won’t be able to live her best life with us. We love Milla and don’t want to keep her for selfish reasons knowing she can be a lot happier in the right environment of a new home.
