Name / Breed / Age: Pea, Shar Pei, Adult  Personality Traits: Quiet, The Independent Thinker, The Old Soul Likes / Dislikes:  Like - meal time! Dislike - bath time  Health and behavior history:  Up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and will be spayed prior to adoption. Clean bill of health from the PIPs Vet!   Meet Pea   Sweet little Pea is a gentle, easygoing girl who thrives with patience, routine, and a calm home. Because she has very limited vision, Pea needs a little time to learn her surroundings and feel secure. Once she does, she settles in beautifully and confidently navigates her world using her excellent nose and ears. You may see her gently boop walls or furniture as she moves around, her own version of mapping out where she is, which is both endearing and impressive.   Pea enjoys exploring the yard, can manage steps with a moment to orient herself, and knows exactly where to go when she needs to potty. She lets you know by heading toward the back door, giving you time to help her get outside.   She is not a big cuddler, but she loves being near her people. Pea will sit close, nap nearby, and happily accept ear and butt scritchies. When you talk to her, her wrinkly, semi nekkid tail wiggles with joy. She greets her foster with happy barks and even a little jump for pets when they come home.   Pea loves her kennel and chooses it as her safe, cozy space for sleeping and meals. She happily goes in when her bowl is ready. One of her most charming quirks is her quiet little grumble or growl, especially around food. Sometimes she will rearrange her bowl just right while softly talking to herself, or simply sit and grumble thoughtfully for no apparent reason.   Because of her limited vision, Pea can startle if another dog sneaks up on her. She may growl or snap to say “hey, I didn’t see you,” but there is no aggression behind it. She would do best as an only dog or with calm, respectful dog friends who understand her needs and give her space.   Pea truly is an easy dog to have. She is gentle, predictable, and quietly affectionate. She is looking for a forever home willing to give her a little time to adjust, appreciate her quirks, and let her continue to blossom. In return, Pea will offer steady companionship, sweet moments, and a whole lot of heart. ##2564793##

Story
Raisin is a 6 month old Shar Pei mix with a heart of gold. Raisin was found dumped along side a country road at the age of just 3 months. He was suffering from very dry skin and a painful ear infection, yet all he would do was love on anyone willing to give him just a minute or two of their time. Raisin has been treated for his skin with medicated baths and diet. He was given antibiotics for the ear infection and with a continued at home ear cleaning routine, he has done very well. Raisin has been fully vaccinated, dewormed, neutered and microchipped. Raisin loves everyone he meets, although he may take just a little bit to warm up to them. He does great with other dogs and cats. He currently lives with other dogs weighing from 5 lbs to 140 lbs and plays well with them all. He know he can rough house with the bigger ones and some simple play time for the littles. Raisin is a very good eater and currently gets salmon oil with his meals to keep his skin healthy. He is house and potty trained with no accidents. He goes into his nighttime crate very well, knowing a small treat will follow. He knows sit and he he knows the wait command when being given a treat. He walks great on a leash and does not pull. He loves going on outings to the pet store, Lowes and the park. He rides well in the car and jumps right in. Raisin can be left out for 3-4 hours with no issues. He is currently only crated at night. He lives the play hard sleep hard lifestyle. If he's not wrestling one of his fur buddies or playing tug of war with his rope, you can usually find him curled up on the couch or his doggy bed snoring away. Please be aware of the continued care a Shar Pei tends to involve before putting in your application. Raisin is definitely worth it.

Story
Meet Zion!Zion is a medium-sized, energetic Boxer/Staffy mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for life. He's playful, confident, and independent, with a fun-loving spirit that keeps things exciting around the house.Zion is both house-trained and crate-trained, walks nicely on a leash, and already knows several commands including sit, paw, down, and gentle. He's currently working on wait/stay and is eager to keep learning with a committed family. Like many young dogs, Zion is still polishing his manners and can be jumpy or mouthy when meeting new people, so a home without small children is best for him. Zion currently lives with elderly cats in his foster home and he tends to leave them alone. Slow introductions are always recommended when introducing to animals and humans. One of Zion's favorite things is tug-of-war, and he absolutely loves playing with his foster brother, Avery. He would thrive in a home with another playful, energetic dog who can match his enthusiasm. A home with a backyard-ideally fenced-is a must, as Zion loves to run, play, and burn off his energy.Zion's ideal family is active, patient, and committed to continuing his training, understanding that puppy tendencies don't disappear overnight. In return, they'll get a loyal, fun, and adventurous companion who's ready to go places and grow alongside them.If you're looking for a spirited, affectionate dog who's ready for his next chapter, Zion might just be your perfect match 🐶✨To get more information about Zion, please send an email to his foster family to wcacfosterfam24@gmail.com with the subject "Interest in Zion 264064" Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 43.5 Age: 1yrs 10mths 0wks

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Mack is a gentle, old-soul gentleman who believes the best things in life are the quiet moments-a soft nuzzle, a peaceful walk, or a calm lean against a trusted human. He doesn't demand the spotlight or jump around; instead, he offers steady, loving companionship and a calming presence that makes any home feel a little warmer. In playgroup, Mack was respectful but a bit grumbly. As an older dog, his high-energy days are behind him. He can get a little squawky when other dogs bounce around too much, and his movements are slow and deliberate, suggesting his joints may ache. His pace is steady and measured, perfect for someone who appreciates a calm, predictable companion.Mack is looking for a patient, understanding human who can be his anchor-a person who will help him feel safe and secure in the world. He thrives on quiet connection, gentle walks, and the comfort of knowing he's loved. For someone seeking a loyal, affectionate, low-key companion, Mack is an absolute treasure.Although he is heartworm positive, it is treatable and not contagious. Friends of Wake County Animal Center has provided a $600 sponsorship to help cover the cost of treatment. He is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Primary Color: White Weight: 65.5 Age: 7yrs 8mths 3wks

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read a bio of a very wise woman. You obviously know with age comes wisdom. My foster thinks I am the perfect dog and would like me to land with loving people. She says I deserve it. What makes me a perfect dog? I have learned a human's home is their castle so I treat it as such. I also am very quiet and will take the time to lay by you and listen to your day's happenings. What less would you expect from a wise woman? Now don't think I don't have some pep in me. Give me a toy and I will run and jump just like the youngins. Unlike the young puppers I have the chill in me too. Oh gosh I love a good movie. My foster likes to sleep with me so we can chat and snuggle for the night. I sleep all night then in the morning do my business outside. When she is gone I just sit on a couch in a room. Give me a comfy blanket and I am good for the day. I am so great i would even do wonderfully in an apartment! Won't hear a peep out of me! I have also been with other dogs, but of course do a very safe doggie test before we hang out!So I believe I have provided proof I am the perfect dog. Let's meet! I can already envision great memories being created and some fantastic pics. See the pajama pic as proof! Simply click additional info above the bio and fill in contact information! She is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be spayed prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times.
