I’m the longest resident at the shelter, since February 2025. When I first arrived, I was underweighting and had a pretty bad skin infection. I’m now receiving treatment and an special diet to help me feel my very best and I’m currently in a foster home where I’m getting the love and care I deserve. I’m a very sweet, playful boy who’s ready to find a forever home that will love and take care of me.  I’m mostly indifferent just a little shy around cats. Please share Dawson’s story everywhere and help us find his forever family — it takes a village.??Dawson has been with us since September 18, 2024, and it’s time this sweet boy finally gets the happy ending he deserves. ??He’s a 4-year-old bundle of affection who’s crate trained, loves to roll in the grass, splash in the pool, and soak up every bit of love he can get. Dawson is also great with kids and the perfect size — not too big, not too small, just right for couch cuddles and backyard play!He’s good with cats and has done well with confident female dogs, but he’d thrive as the only dog in the home. He’s still working on potty training, but with patience and love, he’s coming along.We know his perfect person (or family!) is out there — we just need your help reaching them.?? Story
Honey was found in the harsh streets of Houston. She’d been fending for herself a long time and was in rough shape. Some amazing ladies picked her up and started her on the path to healing. She didn’t have a long term plan though, and right before she was to be released back to the streets, she was scooped up and brought to DFW, where the rest of her healing would take place. She had heartworms and has completely recovered and her personality is shining through! She loves to play with her foster sisters and brothers, and loves to give kisses? She’s a little shy at first, but this girl is a gem!
