Story
She is a stray dog that has been running around town for about a year and started hanging around my house about a month ago along with a male dog that was dumped. She is arrestive to dogs she does not know. She is aggressive to one of my female dogs and attacked her along with the male stray dog that showed up about a month ago. The male and female dogs attacked my dog on 3/26/26 and injured her pretty bad. The female dog is pregnant and I need to take her somewhere before she has puppies because I cannot keep them.

Story
Some might say Ivy is a work in progress, but to me, she’s a labor of love! Ivy is an 8-month-old, 32-pound, beautiful boxer mix who was surrendered to the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 3/3. She has a sprinkle of freckles on her nose and feet, and deep, soulful brown eyes. When she first arrived, she was scared of just about everything. With patience and extra attention, she’s slowly starting to trust. She walks a bit hesitantly on a leash and sometimes still hides under furniture or in corners, but not as often. Just the other day, instead of cowering when I walked into the room, she actually stood up! She didn’t come over, but she didn’t hide either—little victories! She’s so deserving of love, like a butterfly emerging from a cocoon. She’ll have her surprises, but all of them will be worth it. She’d probably thrive in a quiet, laid-back home with no children or older kids. She enjoys sniffing the grass and bushes but truly deserves to be mostly an indoor dog this time around.

Story
We found Ralph abandoned on the side of the road in 2023 and took him in, and he’s been part of our family ever since. From the start, he got along well with our two dogs (aside from our small dachshund occasionally giving him a hard time!) and settled in quickly. Ralph is a very energetic, affectionate dog who loves to play, go on walks, and snuggle. He’s about 3 years and 9 months old, and we estimate his birthday to be around June 2022. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. Ralph would do best in a home that can match his energy level and give him plenty of opportunities for exercise and play. Ideally, he would either be the only dog in the home or live with other large, active dogs who can keep up with him and help him burn off his energy. He can be reactive on walks—when he sees other dogs or people, he may bark and pull on the leash—so he would benefit from an experienced owner who is comfortable continuing his training and helping him feel more at ease.

Story
Annie and siblings April, Angel, Archie and Aaron were born around the end of Nov 2023 and abandoned in a box on a garbage route at the beginning of 2024. We are guessing Boxer and Black Mouth Cur in their parentage, but it is still hard to tell a they are very young. They are a cute bunch and, as all infants, currently spend most of their day eating, playing and sleeping. They will be available soon, but are still being vetted at this time. Please, do put in your application, as we are sure there will be a lot of interest in these little sweeties. Story
Meet Liza – The Gentle, Deaf Beauty For the past few years, Liza has been loved and cherished by her foster mama. They’ve shared countless moments together, from backyard zoomies to quiet nights stretched out on the floor side by side. But now, with her foster mama’s health declining, Liza is searching for something she’s never had before… a forever family of her very own. Liza may be deaf, but she’s a quick learner who understands the language of love and touch. A gentle tap on her backside means “Sit,” an open palm earns you a “Shake,” and a twirl of your finger lets her know it’s time to cozy up in her crate. She’s already housebroken and crate-trained, making her an easy fit into the right home. This sweet girl adores other dogs, though she appreciates introductions done face-to-face so she doesn’t get startled. She hasn’t lived with cats, but she’s shown little interest when she’s seen them. And when it comes to playtime? Liza is in her element! Whether she’s tossing toys around for herself or racing through the backyard like she’s training for the big leagues, her joy is contagious. When the day winds down, you’ll find her happiest simply being near her person—stretching out on the floor, enjoying belly rubs, or relaxing after a bath (she loves them!). Liza is a gentle soul who has been waiting patiently for her happily-ever-after.Could you be the one to make Liza’s dreams come true? Message us to learn more!*Liza is currently living with a lovely foster family, who took her in when her original foster mama became ill. Liza has two small dogs and a cat. that she lives with. Adoption Process: After your application is approved, a home visit is schedule. We will bring the pet to you and help with introductions to your current pet(s). You will then have a week with the pet to ensure they are the right fit for your home. At the end of the week, you finalize the adoption and the pet is officially part of your family!
