Aggie is naturally timid and unsure about new people, but if you sit quietly with her, she slowly begins to trust—offering gentle kisses and allowing pets.She’s a curious girl who likes to quietly follow her humans around the house, making her a sweet, silent shadow during daily activities. Aggie would thrive with a confident canine companion who can help show her that people are safe. She’s beginning to explore toys, and we think she’ll discover her playful side with a little more time.Aggie also has some classic “wrinkly dog” skin sensitivities and will need an owner who can help her care for her coat and keep her comfortable. This tender-hearted girl just needs patience, love, and stability to truly shine.Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.

Hi hoomans, it’s me, Sommer, your resident 6‑pound cuddle bug and part‑time chaos intern. Big news: I went outside for the very first time this week. Wow. So many smells. So many things to explore. So much room to run and play with the resident dogs. I am thoroughly intrigued by this thing called a hose and the wet stuff that comes out of it. Reminds me of my first week here with all of my spa days. Uncle Max has been teaching me how to watch squirrels like a serious dog. I stand next to him and stare at the fence, but honestly…I have no idea what we’re waiting for. He seems very passionate about it, though, so I pretend I understand. I’m feeling better, getting braver, but still like being held so I can shove my whole face into your neck like a baby koala. Foster life is pretty great. Love, Sommer 🐶✨ Sommer’s first few days here were a little “ruff” — poor girl had some tummy troubles and mostly wanted to snooze. But now that she’s feeling better, her puppy personality is bursting through. She’s playing with toys (Lamb Chop is the reigning favorite), wrestling with her brother Kayce, and treating foster mom’s walking boot like her own personal jungle gym. She loves being held, burying her face in your neck, and has become surprisingly accustomed to her frequent “spa days” thanks to those tummy issues. 😆 She loves when the big resident dogs come over to say hello, she gets up and runs over to give kisses 🥰 This little girl is a beauty and her name is Sommer. Penny girl (3-months) is an absolute doll. She is loving life and we truly believe she may be part cat lol! She loves to sit on the back of the couch, watch out the windows, chase bugs outside at night, and is starting to show her mischievous side which includes climbing on the coffee table. Penny loves her create at night time but is a huge cuddle bug during day time naps. Our favorite thing about her is probably the excitement and butt wiggles she gives every-time she sees us.
