This handsome pit mix is a high-energy, deeply loyal dog who forms strong bonds once he learns to trust you. He can be shy and cautious in new situations due to his past experiences, but with patience, consistency, and kindness, he blossoms into a true “velcro dog” who loves staying close to his person. He is very playful and thrives on activity—running, playing fetch, and carrying around his soft baby toys are some of his favorite things. He lights up when someone engages with him, especially if treats and praise are involved (his favorite rewards). He is very attached to his home and can be protective of his space and people, so he will do best with an experienced, confident owner who can provide calm structure, clear boundaries, and reassurance. He needs a home that understands trust-building and is willing to move at his pace. He has shown a very gentle, sweet side with people he knows well, including calm behavior around a special needs child in his current home. Once he feels safe, he is affectionate, loyal, and eager to please. He enjoys the company of other dogs and tends to do well viewing them as part of his “pack,” including both larger and smaller dogs, though all introductions should be slow and intentional. He does not like storms and can be sensitive to loud or chaotic environments. He is also sensitive to correction—he does not react aggressively, but rather tends to feel discouraged or shut down when scolded, so a calm, patient, and positive approach works best for him. A home with space to run or an active lifestyle would be ideal so he can safely burn energy and stay balanced both mentally and physically. But my real love language? Finding the coziest heated blanket in the house and melting into it like the snuggle champion I am. I'll happily switch between playmate and professional cuddle buddy — whatever you need. My résumé: House trained â Know sit, lay down, stay, and leave it â Great with kids â Self-appointed security guard — I take 'protect and serve' seriously and have been known to hop the child gate to greet visitors myself, especially new ones. Max is 7-year old purebred white and red English Bulldog, weighing 68 pounds. He is not neutered, but is not sexually agressive or active in any way. He is a breeding quality bulldog. Like all bulldogs, Max has skin problems and requires regular cleaning and vet medical attention. His recent medical needs have been a challenge for us, and he has difficulty living in a small highrise apartment. There is simply not enough space for him, and he keeps us up at night. Max needs a home with more space to play and to sleep, with an adopter who is ok with the extra care bulldogs need. Max gets along well with other dogs. He was raised without children in the home. He is house trained (inclduing to go on artificial turf). He is on a special diet (Wellness brand limited ingredient turkey and potato, available at Chewy). An ideal adopter has an air conditoned home with ample space for an indoor dog and someone home most of time.
