Meet Moose! Moose is a handsome approximately 2-year-old Shar-Pei mix weighing around 37 pounds who is ready to find his forever home! He was surrendered to Rockwall Adoption Center after his previous family was no longer able to care for him, and now he is hoping to find a family to call his own. Moose is house trained and crate trained, giving him a great start as he transitions into a new home. He can be selective with other dogs, so if you currently have another canine in the home, a meet and greet will be recommended prior to adoption to help ensure everyone is a good match. Moose has not previously lived with cats or children, so those would be new experiences for him and would require slow, appropriate introductions. Moose's adoption fee is $125. He is neutered, microchipped, current on his basic annual boosters, and heartworm negative. Scrappy, about 50 lbs About me: My wrinkles may be minimal, but my heart is huge. I'm playful, affectionate, and always down to make new dog friends or join a game in the yard. But my real love language? Finding the coziest heated blanket in the house and melting into it like the snuggle champion I am. I'll happily switch between playmate and professional cuddle buddy — whatever you need. My résumé: House trained â Know sit, lay down, stay, and leave it â Great with kids â Self-appointed security guard — I take 'protect and serve' seriously and have been known to hop the child gate to greet visitors myself, especially new ones. (The gardeners are still on my watch list, sorry not sorry.) A few honest quirks, because I believe in full transparency on the first date: I pull a little on the leash (working on it). Car rides aren't my favorite — I'll whine the whole way, but I'm otherwise a good passenger. Thunderstorms make me nervous. Baths make me an Olympic sprinter, so we've switched to waterless ones. I can be crated, but I don't really enjoy it and tend to rub my nose. Lately I've just been hanging out loose on dog beds in the living room (and sneaking onto the big bed at night — don't tell). Gena is a very docile dog. She loves to have her tummy petted and will roll over to anyone who shows her attention. She never met a human she didn't love. She is very calm and gentle. She couldn't be sweeter. She does not bark!We found her at the shelter almost 3 yrs ago and wouldn't give her up except that we are getting too old to give her the attention she needs; plus our daughter moved in with another dog (which Gena gets along with). So too much confusion around here now.We have a very nice box (furniture like) that she goes into very willing when we leave her.
