Story
Chaz is an infectious and loveable pocket pup. He has a wiggle like no other and he's affectionate with everyone. He does well on car rides and likes to go for walks.  He's playful with toys, sits on command very well and is quite food motivated! His favorite thing to do is sit in your lap, go on an outing and hang in the backyard (with you). He really loves his people. He's is very good in kennel and responds well to some commands. It's clear someone has worked with him in the past. ##1997426##

Story
Hello gorgeous! Say hello to Lina, a beutiful, playful young German Shepherd looking for her forever home.  Our area shelters are overcrowded and this sweet girl was out of time when we pulled her.  She went into a wonderful foster where she is now thriving. Her fosters describe her as "perfect and funny, playful, sweet, and always curious".  She loves ice cubes, tug-o-war and napping next to you.  She does not like the vacuum (bad vacuum!).   She's housetrained, crate-trained and uses the doggie door.  Gets along with other dogs of all sizes.   Please fill out an application if you'd like to give this amazing pup a forever home.   Backyard Strongly Preferred *** Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit from an RHS representative. Apply. You can complete an application at an MTP event or complete it online by either clicking the button below or the “Adopt” button beneath the pet’s photo in the listings above. Phone Interview or Attend a Meet the Pets (MTP) event. This is a great opportunity to meet the pet you are interested in and see if you connect. We hold these events once a month on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. We post the pets who are expected to attend on Friday evening on our Facebook page. For exact details and locations, view our event calendar. If an event is over a week away, a counselor may contact you for a phone interview. Home Visit. If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will set up a home visit where you can meet the pet you are interested in again and the pet can meet other pets in the family. We will try to send the foster parent so you can learn more about how the pet is in a home environment. Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at MTP or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $250 for adult dogs, $300 for puppies (under 1 year) and $125 for cats. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets. APPLY HERE: www.richardsonhumanesociety.org ##1829037##

Story
Mai is a cross post for the Richardson Animal Shelter. She is currently in a foster home and available. For more information or to set up a meeting to see Mai, please contact Kathy Estes @972-979-6981 or kestes71@yahoo.com. Mai is the sweetest 2 year old pup that will steal your heart away from the moment you lay eyes on her. She has been patiently awaiting her furever family to find her after arriving at the shelter and giving birth to 4 babies. In the meantime, she has been in the loving care of a foster familiy that is preparing her for the day you meet and adopt her! Mai is very treat motivated and learns/obeys new commands quickly. Mai is potty trained and does very well while the family is gone to work. She does good with being bathed and doesn't have a ton of shedding. Mai loves playing, hugging, dancing and cuddling. She is protective of her family when a new person arrives, but once introduced and she knows you are good with the person, she is back to her love bug of a self. She is kid friendly as well. She does well with other dogs and has done playgroup with several pups. She isn't reactive to any animals on walks and walks well on her leash.  She hasn't met a cat, so not sure how she is with those, but that can be tested.    ##2033686##
