Hi! My name is Nuvia and I am available for adoption.I was brought in as a stray originally and then adopted. I was returned by my adopters because I have a hard time being home alone. I lived in a home with adults. My previous owner described me as playful and outgoing. I don`t know any commands yet but I`m an eager pup who`s ready to learn! I`m food motivated so teaching me new things should be a snap. I am full of energy and I love to play! I tend to calm down more when the people around me stay calm. I do best when I have lots of exercise and something to keep my mind busy. I would do best in a home with older children due to general bounciness. I weigh 38lbs and am considered a medium size dog.I`m a playgroup pal! So far I`ve played with one other dog of a similar size and did very well. Make sure to ask staff about my interactions with other dogs to hear me! I am a spirited dog with a fun-loving personality! I am still working on my manners, so I would do best with a family who is willing to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be!***April showers bring May flowers - and a lot of dogs at Regional Animal Services! Through May 31, you can `Pick Your Price` when you adopt an adult dog (six months or older). Adoption fees are $25, $50, $75, or $100, plus a pet license fee if applicable.***

Story
Hi! My name is Sunny and I am available for adoption. I was brought in by a good samaritan on January 13, 2024.I`m a fun loving, friendly and happy boy! While I`ve been at RASKC, I`ve been going to playgroup with other dogs and I absolutely love it. I`ve only played with other medium size dogs, but I bet I could get along with just about anyone. I`m pretty easy going when I`m in a kennel, I spend a lot of time lazing around so I probably have a good `off switch.` I`m looking forward to summer and hope I can spend it being the light of my new familys life!I weigh 62lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog.I can get excited and bouncy when the energy around me gets high so I would probably do best in a home with older children. I tend to be a bit overly interested in cats and may do best in a home without small animals or a home that`s willing to take introductions very slow.I went into a foster home and this is what they said about me: Meet Sunny, a sweet and loving guy, with the most stunning eyes and big heart. He is around three years old and 62lbs and would be happy to be your lap dog if you let him. He is a total snuggle bug and gives big kisses once he warms up to new people.Sunny is house trained and hasn`t had any accidents inside while in his foster home. He is crate trained and does great in his crate at night and while alone for short periods.Sunny absolutely loves his toys! His favorites are his cheese-stuffed Kong, and stuffed animals (the super strong ones, because he can CHEW!) His toys are important, as he has an active mind and needs plenty of mental and physical stimulation. He is a smart boy, learning new things every day. He has mastered `sit`, `shake` and `down`. He is working on his recall and working on his leash manners. He likes treats and takes them very gently.Sunny is a bit too interested in small animals like rabbits, birds, and squirrels, and wants to chase them. So, a home without smaller animals is best.He is a large and goofy pup that sometimes forgets how big he is, so a home without small children would be best. This snuggle bug just wants to please his people and be loved. He cannot wait to find his forever home and be your ray of sunshine!

Hi! My name is Persimmon and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by an Animal Control Officer on January 1, 2024 along with my pal when we were found roaming in a store.I weigh 81.0 lbs and am considered a `large breed` dog.I may weight 81.0 lbs, but I am truly a big baby! I can be head shy at first, but once I warm up to you I just want to be near you and will nuzzle your hand when I feel like you`re not giving me the attention I want :)I am VERY treat motivated and can easily be won over with them!Due to my shy nature I would do best in a home without younger children (fast movements and loud noises startle me).The staff at RASKC mention that I am the best snuggler and have been the best office dog! I don`t make a peep and just love to nap.I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!Persimmmon received a basic physical exam, in addition to routine vaccines, deworming, and topical flea preventative, if indicated. Although she is ready for adoption, there is always a possibility of additional medical conditions that have not been detected or may develop in the future. Current medical conditions are noted below.1) Bilateral elbow dysplasia characterized by an ununited anconeal process. Evidence of osteoarthritis. Decreased range of motion in both elbows. Radiographic concern of mild hip dysplasia.Pain management and joint supplements are recommended. Consult with your veterinarian for a treatment plan.Additional care for these conditions may be needed after adoption. Please follow up with your regular veterinarian.***April showers bring May flowers - and a lot of dogs at Regional Animal Services!
