Max is a striking, intelligent German Shepherd mix with a steady presence and a thoughtful way of moving through the world. He’s not a chaotic or overly reactive dog—in fact, he tends to observe first, take things in, and then decide how he wants to engage. On walks, he’s curious and engaged with his environment, enjoys exploring on a long line, and has been making consistent progress with recall and leash manners. He does well around other dogs, showing interest without aggression, and benefits from clear structure and calm, consistent handling.
Max forms trust gradually, especially with men. He will approach, sniff, and engage at his own pace, but can become hesitant if someone reaches toward him too quickly or pushes interaction. When given space and allowed to initiate contact, he settles more comfortably and shows a quiet, respectful curiosity. DETAILS: Crate trained, potty trained, is good with small dogs and large dogs after appropriate greeting, loves long-line walks and hikes. Thrives with structure and patience. Not very keen on cars yet, and slow training is being done there. No exposure to cats or small children.
