Story
Rascal is a 2-year-old, 47-lb lovebug with a big personality and an even bigger love for adventure. Always on the go, this high-energy boy is happiest when he’s playing, exploring, or staying busy with his doggie friends. He would do especially well in a home with another high-energy pup who can keep up with his playful spirit.
Rascal and his brother Zane were rescued from a high-kill shelter in Houston, and despite their rough start, they are incredibly sweet, loving dogs. They can be adopted together or separately—either way,
Rascal is ready to bring joy, fun, and lots of tail wags to his forever home.
In his foster home, Rascal loves running around the yard, play with his toys or play his favorite game "fetch", and finding new “projects” to keep himself entertained. True to his name, he’s always up to something and keeps life exciting and fun.
Rascal is perfect for a home with a second playful dog who is looking for a playmate. He is the perfect affectionate companion who’s always ready for the next adventure. 🐶❤️
Rascal is a medium sized dog. He is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, and kept on heartworm and flea preventative. He is currently being fostered in Houston but can travel to any state, even Canada to the right home.

Rascal's adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, Harness and Transport Fee to several states in the United States.
Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences.
Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them.
Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible.
