Story
Meet Case — a resilient, playful boy ready for his forever home Case is a 15-month-old, petite pittie/boxer mix weighing about 38 lbs who truly beat the odds. He was pulled from the euthanasia list in Modesto, CA and tagged for rescue the night before his scheduled euthanasia. After patiently waiting several days for transport, Case made his journey to Washington and is now safe in a local home, waiting for a family to call his own. Case is a social, people-loving dog who enjoys being close to his humans. He loves cuddles, likes to follow his people around, and has an endearing habit of tossing his blanket into the air and letting it fall over his body when he’s ready to get cozy. He thrives on connection and does best when he’s included in daily life. With other dogs, Case is enthusiastic and playful. He loves dogs, but sometimes his excitement gets the best of him and he can play a bit rough. Because of this, he would do best in a home with a confident, playful dog—ideally larger than him—who can match his energy and enjoys rowdy, physical play. He’s still learning appropriate play manners and continues to improve with structure and guidance. Case is also obsessed with his ball and happily entertains himself with fetch and playtime. He is neutered, fully vetted, microchipped, heartworm negative, and almost fully potty trained. He is not a good fit for a home with cats, as he enjoys chasing. Case survived against all odds and is ready for the stability, patience, and love of a committed home. With the right match—people who understand playful young dogs and can provide consistency—Case has all the makings of a loyal, fun-loving companion. If you’re looking for a dog who will play hard, cuddle harder, and be deeply devoted to his people, Case may be your perfect match. Adoption fee $400 www.northwestwagrescue.org ##2574302##

Story
Meet Ruby Anne! Ruby Anne is about 2 years old and is an absolute HAM in the best possible way. She’s incredibly social, funny, and just an all-around fantastic little dog. Her tail practically never stops wagging because she’s so happy about everything and everyone she meets. Ruby loves to cuddle, but she’s also curious and likes to be included in whatever her people are doing. She truly wants to be part of the family. Ruby Anne is great with kids, dogs, and cats, making her a wonderful addition to many types of homes. She loves playing with other dogs, enjoys squeaky toys, and is always happy to curl up for a cozy snuggle with her humans. Ruby Anne is currently being fostered in the Puget Sound area with her best buddy Fred, and the two adore each other. They would make an amazing lifelong duo for a lucky family (if you are looking for 2). Her story started with heartbreak. Ruby Anne is a loving momma dog who found herself on the euthanasia list at the overcrowded Roswell shelter, along with her babies, simply due to lack of space. She stood on her hind legs, desperately trying to give kisses to anyone who walked by—pleading for someone to notice her little family. Thankfully, Ruby Anne got the second chance she deserved and is now safe in a Puget Sound foster home, patiently waiting for her forever family. The world would truly be a darker place without her joyful spirit in it. Ruby Anne is spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. With her amazing personality, loving nature, and perfect size, Ruby Anne is ready to bring laughter, snuggles, and nonstop tail wags to the lucky family who brings her home. Ruby Ann will have a 10-day trial period with her approved adopters Adoption fee $500 www.northwestwagrescue.org ##2673641##

Story
Fred is a 1-year-old sweetheart with a gentle, mellow personality. He’s a little shy right now, which is completely understandable since he recently made the big move from his longtime foster home in New Mexico to a foster home here in the Puget Sound area. He had been with his NM foster since he was just 8 weeks old, so this is a big change for him. Even while adjusting, Fred is incredibly submissive and loving — there isn’t a mean bone in his body. He even let me carry him into the house when he first arrived. Once he settled in, Fred was excited to hop up on my sister’s bed to sleep (the twin bed got a little cramped with the other pups!). He enjoys following the other dogs around and will happily give them little face licks. Fred takes high-value treats very gently and seems to understand sitting for treats. He is potty trained and does great as long as he isn’t left in the kennel too long. He loves being outside and is a very calm dog overall. The dogs typically come inside around 7pm and go out again around 6am. Fred lives with and interacts well with many other dogs, including small dogs. He has also spent time with school-age children and has done well with them. Fred is currently being fostered in the Puget Sound area with his best buddy Ruby Ann, and the two adore each other. They would make an amazing lifelong duo for a lucky family, if you are looking for 2). Despite being young, Fred is an easygoing boy who would be perfectly happy lounging on the couch and spending time with his people. He is fully vetted and neutered and is currently waiting in his Puget Sound foster home for his forever family. Adoption fee $500 (or $900 for Ruby Ann and Fred) Fred will get to have a 10-day trial with his potential adopters www.northwestwagrescue.org ##2673653##
