Story
Jessie is drop-dead gorgeous and a total sweetie pie. In photos, she looks like a big husky, but she's actually a petite little 44-pound, pocket sized bestie. Jessie is one-of-a-kind! Around 3 years old, Jessie is good with big dogs, but does not prefer the company of little dogs or cats. Her fur is so soft, when you hug her it's like hugging a cloud! She's looking for an active home with a pack leader. When she likes you, she will give you the paw of approval, sealing the deal: you're now one of her people. Don't even get us started on her eyes! Love blue eyes? Brown eyes? She has the best of both worlds! Jessie has been at the shelter or stuck in boarding for half her life. She needs a foster or forever home!June 22, 2024, 1:28 am

Meet Sable, a sweet and intelligent dog with a heart full of loyalty. At 6 years old, she's curious about the world around her and loves to explore it through exercise. She's smart enough to learn new tricks and commands quickly, making her an excellent companion for those who love to teach and play. Sable is also very loyal, always ready to stand by your side and give you her undivided attention. However, she needs a strong leader who can guide her and help her use her energy positively. Sable's curiosity and love for exercise make her a great companion for active individuals or families. Her sweet nature and loyalty mean she'll be a loving addition to any home. Sable deserves a home where she can continue to grow, learn, and love. Sable is good with other dog but sorry no cats! Adopt Sable, and let her add a touch of sweetness, intelligence, and loyalty to your life.June 22, 2024, 1:28 am

Story
According to Tamara’s foster mom, “Tamara is a calm and sweet girl,” who is also smart and at times silly and energetic! Tamara’s foster mom also reports that Tamara is a model citizen of the household (i.e., she doesn’t jump on anything or chew inappropriately). She is housetrained, crate trained, knows “sit” and “place,” and loves to go on walks and play with her dog foster brother. Tamara shows affection by licking a leg or hand, chills in her dog bed while her humans watch TV, and hilariously sometimes flips “on her back striking her doggie pose!” At about 7 years old and just over 50 pounds, Tamara is an ideal addition to any household. Are you ready to give her the forever home she deserves? If so, please apply today!June 22, 2024, 1:28 am

Story
Meet Sweetie! This resilient 2 year old mama was found abandoned in a park with her puppies. She is learning she is safe now and will need a patient owner willing to go slow and give her time to adjust to new surroundings. Sweetie loves people and we are working on socializing her with other dogs. At this time we would recommend a home with kids over 12 as we are still getting to know how she is with children and other dogs. This beautiful girl has a lot to give, will you be the one to show her the joys of being loved by a family? Apply to foster or adopt Sweetie today!June 22, 2024, 1:28 am

Story
Ace is about 4 years old and 65 lbs. He was surrendered by his family due to possession issues. They didn’t want to go through training and decided to give him up. Luckily for him, he ended up with some people who fell in love with him and gave him the training he needed. He is now ready to find his forever home! He loves to play ball and even brings it back to (with a little toss to you). He loves to run and snuggle. He is working on his leash skills but does well with some corrections. He gets along with other dogs after proper introductions. He is a high energy husky mix who would love an active home.June 22, 2024, 1:28 am

Story
Meet Lemon, an adult dog with a personality as unique as her name. She`s a bit shy, often preferring her own company to the hustle and bustle of the world. But don`t mistake her quiet demeanor for indifference. Lemon is an independent soul, bravely exploring her surroundings and making her own adventures. She`s also quite vocal, communicating her needs and thoughts with a bark that`s full of character. Lemon`s independence, coupled with her vocal nature, makes her an engaging companion. Adopting Lemon means welcoming a dog that`s eager to share her unique perspective on the world, and one who`s not afraid to make her voice heard. She`s ready to embark on a journey of companionship and mutual understanding with a patient and understanding owner. We recommend her going to a home where everyone is over the age of 16. She has been awarded a Goodpup Scholarship, which is one-on-one training at no cost to the adopter!

Story
I’m Snow, an approximately one-year-old, male puppy with the most beautiful light grayish-brown eyes. According to a DNA test, I am a real mix, but most of that mix is Siberian Husky (see my DNA test results in the pictures). I’m a high energy, athletic, adventurous, bold and playful puppy, who is always exploring and sticking my nose into things to figure them out. I love walks, love new things, and just think life is fun! I’m also one of the best snuggly sleepers ever — I love my people with everything I have. I have a big heart. Because I am pushy and bold, I will need reinforcement from my humans and benevolent dog friends to keep me following the dog rules on sharing toys, people, and spaces with other dogs (I always have followed the rule that the human gets it without any pushback from me!). I’ve learned those lessons on toys, people, and spaces with other dogs and am consistently good at working it out appropriately with the other benevolent dog. When it comes to high-value chews, treats, food-filled kongs, and meals, better to put me separate because those bring out the bratty pushiness in me and can easily make the other dog mad at me (and the other dog is right to be mad at me because she gave me lots of warnings before she lost her patience with my efforts to get her stuff). l am an eager learner and super smart. I have so much energy that the adult dogs I live with don’t always want to play, so I taught myself to throw the ball down the stairs to play catch with myself, then run back up the stairs and do it again!  I am good at keeping myself occupied with toys! The best family for me is one that will commit to giving me a lot of exercise (hikes, runs, long walks, etc.), training me with basic obedience (I’m a fast learner) and continuing to teach me the social skills I need to be the sweet dog I am and have tons of dog friends like I want.  That family will definitely have a calm, confident but not dominant, patient, and benevolent adult female dog willing to look the other way when I get too pushy, but who still wants to play and connect with me.  I excel at the husky talk so an apartment is not for me. A backyard would probably be best unless you just happen to be one of those people who walks, hikes, bikes, etc. a lot throughout the day. If you want to be loved 1000% by a dog that is loyal, smart, athletic and sweet, and are willing to invest your time and energy into teaching me everything I need to know to grow into a mature and balanced high-energy husky mix, then you will be so lucky to adopt me! If you are interested in adopting, please visit the I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue website and complete an adoption application: www.icaredogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt Adoption fee includes: spay/neuter • shots up to date • micro-chip • fecal and vet check Breeds and age are not guaranteed. Story
Meet Rico Suave! He is a one-year-old Husky/Lab mix and he certainly lives up to his name! This charmer has yet to meet a person or dog he doesn't like, even small dogs.  Not every dog likes him back and he just doesn't understand why! Maybe because is size intimidates smaller dogs, but he just can't wait to be friends with everyone and would love to go to a home with another dog to play with. He is very good natured, affectionate and is very much a puppy still. He is filled with energy and enthusiasm when out on walks; happy to greet anyone he meets along the way. He loves to play with toys - especially balls! He can entertain himself with toys for hours and then just take a nap. He loves to be close to his people and doesn't understand when he is left alone. True to the Husky breed, he can be a bit of an escape artist when left alone so he needs a secure crate and should not be left unsupervised in a fenced yard. He is still learning rules and boundaries in the house but he is a quick learner and eager to please! If Rico sounds like a good match, get your application in today!
