Meet Mojo! Mojo is a 3-year-old, 60lb handsome floofapotamus looking for his emotional support human. This gentle, shy boy is an introvert at heart who dreams of a quiet home where he can relax, think his deep thoughts, and enjoy life at his own pace. Mojo is not interested in crowded barbecues, busy parties, or loud parades. His perfect day includes peaceful hikes, quiet adventures, and runs at the dog park with his foster family. He’s especially fond of the ladies and would thrive with a female owner and a confident female dog companion to help show him the ropes. Because Mojo can be very nervous with new people at first, he’ll need someone patient and understanding who is willing to let him settle in at his own speed. Experience with positive reinforcement training would be a wonderful fit for this sensitive boy. Mojo’s story hasn’t been an easy one. Before coming into rescue, he was a stray who spent 8 months on the run before finally being caught. After being adopted once, he escaped again and survived another 412 months before he was safely recovered. Because of this, Mojo will always need a secure environment and careful management while he adjusts. The good news? Once Mojo bonds, he bonds deeply. He is incredibly attached to his foster and never attempts to leave her side. We truly believe that with the right person, Mojo will finally find the safety and connection he’s been searching for all along. As with all SVPS adoptable dogs, Mojo is current on vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. Meet Merry! Merry is an approximately 1.5 year-old female Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix weighing about 65lbs. This beautiful girl is 3/4 Malinois and 1/4 German Shepherd, bringing together intelligence, athleticism, and loyalty in one stunning package. Merry is friendly, energetic, and loves other dogs. She has also done well with kids, though due to her size and enthusiastic energy level, we recommend a home with children over 10 years old. Because of the natural prey drive common in her breeds, a home with cats is likely not the best fit. This incredibly smart girl is looking for an active home that can keep both her mind and body busy. Merry would make an amazing hiking, running, or adventure companion and will thrive with continued training, structure, and engagement. She also absolutely loves playing in the water and would be thrilled to join you for lake days, creek adventures, or splash time after a long hike. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who’s ready to take on every adventure by your side, Merry may be your perfect match. As with all of our dogs, Merry is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines.
