Story
Meet Orca! 🖤🤍🐾 Don’t let that adorable little beard fool you—Orca may look like a distinguished old man, but he’s still just a 7-month-old puppy! 😍 Orca is a 30-pound neutered pup from El Paso who arrived at the shelter when he was only 3 months old. That means he has spent almost his entire puppyhood in a kennel instead of experiencing all the fun things a puppy should—playing, exploring, learning, and growing up with a family. Orca is ready for a change of scenery and, more importantly, a family of his own. He has so much life ahead of him and deserves the chance to finally experience what it’s like to be loved in a home. After 150+ days in the shelter, this little “old man” is hoping someone will look past his beard and see the playful puppy underneath. 🥹❤️ Orca is ready to trade his kennel for a couch and start the life he’s been waiting for! 🐾

Story
This is Takeet, my long time best friend. My name is Makenna and it's with gut wrenching news that I can no longer care for a large dog if any kind, especially a hyper active one such as mine. I have been diagnosed terminally I'll and the conditions are really starting to affect my bone density so my love bug pup laying on me is no longer safe. About: Takeet is a Siberian Husky and nothing else. I got him at the age of 16 weeks from a small town couple who did not realize their dog had gotten pregnant with the neighbor dog. As a baby Takeet was very dark colored but has obviously matured into a lighter black/grey scheme. Takeet is not like the average husky.. he does not like water at all and to get him to walk outside when it's raining he wants to wear a raincoat. Takeet does not like the snow but enjoys watching it fall from the sky under a cozy blanket. Takeet is the only dog I've ever met that needs a toy to sleep with... I think I coddled him too much. He is a lover boy.
