Story
It's time I let him go. I was being selfish by keeping him but keeping him full fully enjoying life due to the fact I live in a studio and how depressed I've became. I start to feel bad when I see him just laying around bored 24/7. He's a great dog, off lease command trained, potty trained to where you can tell him to go potty and he will. Great with kids. Doesn't attack other dogs unless provoked. Only two issues are, him licking piss scents and shedding.

Story
Indi is a 10 year old sweet, stubborn old lady. She loves snuggles, sunbathing, and all the meat (don’t ever try to feed her a vegetable, she’ll look at you like you’re stupid). Indi will turn 11 on December 26th. She still loves to run around and play. Indi and Abner have been together for the last 10 years and I would love to keep it that way. They do best together. When my husband and I had our first daughter (who is now 2) they became her dogs. They will listen to any command she tells them and they love to follow her around the house. Unfortunately my daughter has sever eczema and is allergic to both the dogs and has caused really bad flares. I started keeping the dogs outside more and making sure they can’t go into her room but it hasn’t helped with my daughter’s allergic reactions. Abner and Indi are my babies, they have been with me since I was 16/17 years old and I’m now 27. They have been around lots of people and dog parks and do great with animals and kids.

Story
Meet Mavis: A Sweet, Smart, and Loyal Companion Mavis is a sweet, resilient dog adopted from Adams County Pet Rescue in May 2024. She overcame a rough start through shelter training and thrives on affection. Our family has grown with young children, so we want her to find a quieter home where she can get the focused attention she deserves. Incredibly loyal, Mavis warms up quickly, loves walks, and enjoys the dog park. She is fully crate-trained, loves her kennel, and is impeccably well-behaved and non-destructive when left home alone. As a sensitive soul, high excitement can cause minor submissive urination. Busy family evenings have recently caused her stress, leading to occasional accidents—a sign she needs a serene, adult-centered environment. She also requires a securely fenced yard for her safety. If you have a gentle heart and a secure yard, Mavis is ready to fill your life with love.

Story
PLEASE NOTE! WE ARE A TEXAS BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY IN TEXAS AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO YOUR STATE ONCE ADOPTED. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org Meet Patriot! Patriot is a handsome 3-year-old Presa Canario/Lab mix weighing around 50 pounds with a gentle heart and an easygoing personality. He spent his puppyhood growing up on a Mennonite farm and is now ready to discover what it's like to be a beloved member of a family. Patriot is the kind of dog who wins everyone over with his sweet nature. He loves people, is great with kids (his foster has children that range from toddler to teen and he shows lots of patience and gentleness with them), and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Whether he's playing in the yard with his canine friends or relaxing at your feet after a long day, Patriot is simply happy to be with those he loves. While he's currently living outdoors, Patriot is eager to embrace indoor life. With a little patience and a consistent routine, he should learn potty training very quickly. More than anything, he's dreaming of a soft dog bed to curl up on, a few toys to call his own, and a family that will shower him with the love he's so ready to return. Patriot is affectionate, loyal, and always ready for a good ear scratch or belly rub. If you're looking for a sweet, laid-back companion who will fit right into family life, Patriot is waiting to meet you and become your newest best friend.

Story
Animal Profile: Leo is an estimated 5-year-old male slight-structured Shepherd mix who was adopted as a young puppy after we accepted him from California where he was found as a stray in a Chino dumping zone along with his sibling Sansa and mom Catelyn. He joined us in Seattle on 10/10, along with Sansa and Catelyn. Leo was returned to the rescue after a couple of years due to a divorce in the family, lacking socialization and training. He was fostered with a trainer for several weeks and is now thriving and ready for a loving forever home.  Seattle Foster Update: Leo has progressed well in his time with us as a foster. When Leo arrived to us from training he was moderately reactive, but quickly blossomed to a friendly, tail wagging, bouncy boy. Leo is in a word eccentric. He is a cuddle bug and a hermit and assumes the oddest positions imaginable to get close to his owners. He is crate trained perfectly and enjoys the safe environment the crate provides for him. If you’re unwilling to give Leo a crate then you’re not the right home for him. He needs his escape and downtime to be the best boy. Leo warms up slowly to new people and dogs, and his new owners should be selective in dog introductions as he will react if confronted and doesn’t like in your face dog encounters. He plays well with male Collie and male Malinois and he has a firm truce with our selective female Bulldog. He lives with our cats and is completely disinterested in them. So, cat friendly. Leo will never be a dog park dog. So no dog parks. We don’t have kids in the household so don’t have awareness there. He has no food aggression but he's still working on taking treats gently. Leo will be a great hiking buddy and walks beautifully on leash. He doesn’t have marked stranger danger but again the policy will likely be "please don’t pet my dog without proper introductions." Adopter Profile: Dog experience required Fenced yard required Other dog/dogs in the home a plus Cats okay Older kids okay Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org  August 12, 2026, 7:25 pm
