Gordon is a three year-old ball of energy who needs a loving home. He loves to cuddle, be brushed, and meet other dogs. He's currently being fostered by my husband and I. He's responsive to many commands, house trained, and crate trained. He enjoys visiting going on neighborhood walks and cuddling. Regarding his future home - Gordon would do great in a home with adults. We're currently working with Gordon to be less protective of his spaces and people. He had a provoked bite in his prior home's front yard, which is the first time he's bit anyone. There was an unexpected person in his yard, but fortunately it was a minor injury with no medical care needed. We’ve invested in a six week board and train program for Gordon, and through that he’s shown impulse control and has responded so well to training. We’re confident that if he's in a home where he gets attention and stimulation, he'll bring so much joy to his next family.

I have 2 dogs that I would like to keep together because the yellow lab/golden retriever mix is very attached to his sister Khloe. His name is Lenny they both grew up with kids from infants to a teenager. Since my wife and kids moved out of state I no longer have the time to give them the attention they deserve because of my work schedule so they spend way too much time in the kennel.

I’m potty trained at my foster home, gentle and kind with people, kids, and other dogs. I live peacefully with a husky foster sister and take her corrections like a polite gentleman. I do have a Husky heart though, and I’d thrive with a family who loves the outdoors. Walks are my favorite. I’m curious, alert, and love exploring the world one sniff at a time. Training: —————- Like a typical husky, he doesn’t enjoy being alone. He gets separation anxiety and can resort to chewing paper, plastic, leash and anything he sees around. But he has been good if he has his humans or fur siblings around. Training Resources: ————————————— Regardless of who you adopt, we recommend training your pup regularly, to build an everlasting bond with your pup and help them continue to be an amazing canine citizen. We can provide a list of reputable trainers who use science-based, positive reinforcement methods to help you establish a training protocol with your newly adopted furbaby. —————————————————————————- [IMPORTANT] —————————————————————————- Below listed requirements are for any dogs we adopt out, meant for everyone’s safety. • If you have other dogs, then you must also be knowledgeable and have good hands on experience with running a multi-dog home to be able to adopt a dog from us. What’s expected of the adopter is just keeping basic house rules like (1) keep the dogs apart when feeding, monitor & put away left over food, (2) help them build mutual trust before leaving alone with treats, toys around (3) keep dogs out of kitchen when handling food etc • As with any dog, earn their trust around food handling. This is an essential training for every dog, so they learn to trust their new human. It takes only a couple of practice sessions around meal time with most dogs with no history of food guarding. Teaching to sit, then hand-feeding food & high value treats is one of the best ways to earn trust. • If you have children at home, they should be at least 8+ yrs, and know to safely & respectfully interact with dogs, to be considered for adoption. We think families with younger children will likely not have the time needed to exercise and nourish a new dog. And the time needed to train little kids to safely interact with dogs, read their body language & respect their personal space. Most dogs do not enjoy little ones clinging to them, pulling their fur, crawling or lying on them. We do not want to risk the safety of neither your child nor our dog. We do not believe this is the humane way to train dogs for obedience, when there are science based, positive reinforcement training methods available today. Besides, huskies are genetically prone to glaucoma of the eyes, and the pressure on the neck will only hurt them more. Training to walk on a well fitted no-pull harness is encouraged. All our dogs come with a “no-pull” harness. If needed, you can use humane collars like regular buckle collars, martingale collars or ‘gentle leader’.
