Story
Hi my name is Mr Jett! I came to the rescue when my family fell on hard times and had to surrender me. Boy I love people… and snuggles and playtime. I originally was only around small breed dogs so it’s taken time to understand these massive tall guys are friends, but I’m ok with them now. I love to play, I love to run zoomies, and when I have energetically breezed my way around the house, jump up for snuggles on the couch. I am altered, vaccinated and microchipped

Story
PWRESCUE.ORG **PHOENIX METRO AREA ONLY** Meet Ozzie (male) & Oreo (female), an 8-1/2-year-old senior pair of sweet, shy souls.  Ozzie is a Havanese mix and Oreo is a Shih Tzu mix.  In their golden years, Ozzie & Oreo are seeking a peaceful sanctuary, a home with low activity where they can retire. They will do best as the only dogs in the home so they can get all of the attention! Because they prefer a quiet oasis, a home without children would also be the best for them.  Ozzie & Oreo may be seniors, but they still have so much love to give. Adopting them means providing a haven for their twilight years and experiencing the unique joy of their loving companionship. They are up to date on vaccinations, neutered/spayed, and microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00 for the pair. Story
Copper is a beautiful Shih Tzu boy and is 11 1/2 years old. He was sadly given up by his owners who had him since he was a small puppy. They had a baby and no longer had time or room for a dog they once treasured. Copper is sweet and gentle. He is happily in a foster home until he finds his forever home. He walks well on a leash and is house trained. Copper is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Copper's adoption fee is $225 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! If you would like to be considered to for this adoption or any of our amazing rescues, please fill out the application with the help of this link. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog. Story
Choppy is a sweet, cute Shih Tzu or possibly part Lhasa Apso boy who came to us after being surrendered to an Animal Hospital with Parvo virus. He has fully recovered (such a lucky boy!) and he is ready for his forever home. He is just under a year of age and probably was not treated to kindly at the home he came from. He takes a minute to warm up to new people and become trusting. With time, he will likely trust people more quickly if his new family continues to socialize him and treat him kindly. Choppy is full grown and weighs 20 lbs. He is fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and will likely be immune to parvovirus for the rest of his life! Like many of our rescued dogs we are not sure how well house broken Choppy is. But with some consistency and praise, house training should be learned quickly. Choppy is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will require brushing and professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Choppy's Adoption fee is $350 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. Story
Clyde is a sweet 10 year old Shih Tzu.boy who lost his home because after having him 10 years, his owners decided he is not good around their kids. He did not deserve to be given up on just because he is aging. Additionally they allowed him to become very overweight which could definitely contribute to his sometimes grumpy mood. We have not observed any bad behavior here at the rescue. He is really a nice dog, easy to have around and not at all demanding. He is in good health, fully vetted and ready for a new home and a Weight Watchers membership. It is imperative that his new Adopter keeps him on a diet to help him reduce his weight. He's clearly not comfortable how he is. He would love the yard to run around in as well as to bask in the sun. He may need some forced walking to help with retrieving the waistline he once enjoyed. according to his former owners, Clyde is housetrained. Clyde is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will require brushing and professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Clydes's Adoption fee is $275 This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue.
