ElliotShih tzuMaleDOB:12/30/22Adoption Fee: $300Meet Elliot he is a sweet and spunky boy, He loves to play and receive lots of cuddles. He's honestly perfect for any home. Although he is heartworm positive but don't worry we're covering his treatment so he can still be adopted! But a home that's able to keep him calm would be best. Elliot is good with other dogs and enjoys his play time. He walks great on a leash and is really an all around good boy. So what are you waiting for and go ahead and claim this sweet boy! Please read the animal bios completely before requesting additional information as we do our best to answer the most frequently ask questions in these bios. In order to adopt one of our animals an application must be submitted and approved. You can find these applications by going to http://humanemorgan.org/index.php?page=adoption ABOUT ADOPTING FROM THE HSMC: The shelter address is 1170 Fairground Rd. Madison, GA 30650. For more information on any of our pets, please feel free to email us at INFO@HUMANEMORGAN.ORG give us a call at 706-343-9977. All dogs are heartworm negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. All cats are FeLv/FIV negative, current on vaccines/dewormings, and microchipped. We are open 10am-5pm Monday-Saturday, we schedule our last adoption at 4pm everyday to allow our staff enough time to feed and walk dogs. We are an animal shelter and therefore are not able to individually potty train our residents. Many adult dogs do arrive “house broken” however due to animal behavior any change in environment will make an emotional impact on the animals and therefore initiate unwanted behaviors during the acclamation period. Please keep this in mind. Puppies do not have the biological maturity to maintain absolute bladder or bowel control and will require a certain degree of potty training and house breaking. Please consider the time and commitment it takes to provide the necessary building blocks for these special babies, prior to submitting your application. If you have any questions please email us at info@humanemorgan.org and provide name of the animal you are interested in, in the subject line. Thank you, HSMC Staff ADOPTION FEES Adoption Fees may change without notice. Story
Hi I’m Ted! I am a 3-4 yr old, 15lb Shih Tzu mix and let me tell you how perfect I am! No accidents at all in my foster home, completely fine with dogs of all sizes, ignore cats, great in the car, great at the groomers, only pull a little on a leash but foster mom is teaching me the proper way, huge lap baby and as an added bonus, I like to go into my crate on my own for naps. I would be fine as a companion for another dog but I’m not a real playmate, I’m more of a “tolerate” kind of doggie friend. If you are ready for a snuggle, buddy, I’m probably your guy. Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption. Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.

Story
Meet Boston. Don’t let his pictures fool you - this adorable 10 month old “may” look bigger in pictures than he actually is. At 9lbs this sweet little puppy has an enormous heart and is now ready for his forever family. He is a great mix of snuggle , playfulness and adventure buddy. He is currently working on puppy basics like socialization, crate exposure, and house training. He will need consistency, patience, and lots of love! We are requiring a home with a secure fenced yard for a small breed dog and are not recommending a home with small children. If you are interested in learning more, please apply to furkids.org.

Story
A fosters-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Meet Baby Bruno! Bruno may be small, but he’s got a big personality—and a little spice to go with it! This clever, loyal pup is full of love once he feels safe with you. At first, he can be nervous around new people and situations, but with patience (and maybe a little cheese), his sweet and affectionate side shines through. Because Bruno can become nippy if startled or rushed, he’s looking for an experienced adopter who understands “spicy” dogs and is willing to respect his boundaries. A calm, low-traffic home without children will be the best fit for him. The good news? Bruno has plenty of great qualities to offer his perfect person! He’s housetrained, crate-trained, and enjoys the company of other dogs. A fenced yard is required. While he can walk on a leash, he becomes very reactive to strangers. To help set him up for success, Bruno’s adoption will include a couple of meet-and-greets and a home visit. He isn’t a dog for everyone—but for the right person, he’ll be a devoted and wonderful companion. Baby Bruno weighs 13lbs. and is approximately 4 years old (est. birth date 03/22/2021). Baby Bruno has been neutered, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. Baby Bruno's adoption fee is $85. If you want more information about Baby Bruno, please submit a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. At this time, meeting our dogs is by appointment only. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. Must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.
