Bonded pair, must adopt togetherDD (7 y/o, 11 lb Yorkie) and Sammie (4 y/o, 9 lb Shih-Tzu) are a bonded pair of lap queens – they are looking to be adopted together! DD and Sammie found themselves homeless and were forced to live outside. They're safe now in a foster home and they're ready for a permanent place to live. DD is a 7-yo Yorkie and weighs 11 pounds.  Sammie is a 4yo Shih-Tzu and weighs 9 pounds.  They are very attached to each other, and we will only place them together. They are absolute cuddle bugs and if you’re a couch potato, these could be the dogs for you.  They are working on potty training and doing great but they do still have pee accidents in the house if they don’t have a chance to go out. They need a very consistent routine where they are taken out every 2 hours as they continue to be potty trained. They will occasionally use a pee pad inside. Continued house training will need to be a priority in their new home. They love toys and DD carries one in her mouth most of the time. They are yappy little dogs.  DD loves everyone she meets even if she barks at them at first.  Sammie really wants to be a baby and have a mama that will hold her and snuggle all the time.  She’ll sit on your lap for hours while you work.  She seems to bond with the woman in the family that cares for her. In order for a man or another person in the house to bond with her, they will need to put in a lot of work holding her, petting her and being patient. It takes a lot of time for her to be ok with other people that she is not bonded with, and she will bark at anyone she isn't bonded with every time she sees them.  This requires patience.  DD barks to say hello to everyone and Sammie barks to say stay away.  They are good with cats and other dogs. They romp and play with each other and have a blast. A retired person or someone that is home a lot is the perfect fit for them.  They are crate trained, spayed, heartworm negative and current on their vaccines.     Hi, dog lovers, especially small ones. Dogs, not small people. Haha! Small humans are also great, although I haven’t been around many.  I’m new to Angels, so I took a few days to get my bearings. But now I’m ready to tell you about me.  I’m supposed to be some terrier-poodle mix. Foster Mom wonders if there’s some Dachshund hiding in me. I don’t know; that’s just what the humans say. I’m 4 years old and really sweet, love being loved on and a pretty good lap warmer.  I’m mostly potty trained, but really just trying to get my Foster Mom to get with my program. I like toys and especially playing fetch, but I love going outside. I can play fetch there, too, and have more room to run. The terrier in me loves to sniff stuff outside. What kind of dog are you looking for? I’m really pretty happy but still a little jumpy after my stint at the vet’s. I'm not a big fan of vets! My foster home is much more relaxing and quiet. I like to relax! I also like to bark when I hear stuff outside that might be a danger to my people or greet you when you come home so you can start paying attention to me. Foster Mom says condominiums and apartments might not be the best for me.  So, if you think I’m your kind of guy, you need to apply for me. The Angel people will do the rest.     I have recently become an Angel, and they said I need to tell you about myself. My formal name is Stewart Suavely, but you can call me Stew—unless you live in a castle, in which case we can stay formal.   I am about 18 months old, so still a very young guy.  Some people say I am a Shih Tzu, and others say I am a terrier.  Who cares, I am so handsome it makes no difference!!  My white and black coat is long and coarse, so they call me a scruffy on the street.  I am a bit underweight at 14 pounds but only need to gain a pound or 2.   \I was taken to animal control as a stray, so I'd forgotten everything before I became an Angel.   I am a people dog. I have made friends with everyone I have met. They all think I am great! I live with three small dogs and have made friends with them. We even play sometimes, and that is tons of fun. I love going out in the yard and exploring. When I get too far from foster Mommy, I love running to her. I am not a fan of rain, but I will go out if things have to be done in the rain.    Foster Mom says I am a "Velcro" dog. I love sitting next to her and making sure we are touching. I also ensure I know her exact location at all times, so I follow her everywhere she goes. She might need me! I sleep quietly in a crate at night, but if anyone wants a bed buddy, I am up for that, too.   This place is nice, but I really want my own family and home. Dunkin born 12/17/23. A very sweet boy. He is a nice mix of calm and playful. He loves to sit on your lap. Playful but not hyper. He gets along well with everyone including children.
