He is a little timid, & would prefer a quiet home. He is intimidated if you stand over him & reach down. He prefers you get down on his level & you'll be quick buddies if he gets to sit in your lap. Reuben would do best with children over 12 years old. He is afraid of big dogs, but gets along with friends his size. All our animals receive professional veterinary attention including spay/neuter, testing, vaccination, deworming, food and shelter. We had Zoe all her life from 8 weeks old. She’s a real champion who survived parvo as a pup and has a big heart ❤️ She was our family pet but mainly for my daughter who is now gone off to college at 17 and my husband and I just can’t give her the attention and care she was used to with my daughter whom she slept in bed or in her room with all night. My daughter babied her and she is now mostly in the cage because we own a business and can’t be at home with her most of the day. We feel bad that we just don’t have time and she is feisty she wants out and to be about in the house so it’s best to find a new home for her who can be with her throughout the day. Zoe is sweet, loving and stubborn but still very obedient and loves to play. She is extremely healthy and vibrant for her age. You would never know she’s 10. She’s amazing with kids and very protective but a peaceful quiet dog. She is not a yapper and loves car rides and just going out for walks . Not to mention she’s beautiful.

She can navigate a house with ease, she can leap curbs, and  she has no fear of loud sounds. You can share your deepest secrets with her, and she’ll never tell.    Bathsheba is a 9-year-old ShiTzu who loves to take long, slow walks,  enjoying all the new smells along the way (a gentle tug on her leash will lead her in the correct direction).  She loves her beds and really prefers those over her human’s bed. She does like to be near her human through. She even navigates around obstacles in search of her human.   Bathsheba gets along great with the other dogs, even initiating some play. She has slowly allowed her foster to cuddle with her. She is house-trained and will go out or use wee wee pads.    Bathsheba will need a small enclosed yard where she can roam safely .   She doesn't like to be confined, so she is allowed free rein in the home. But no stairs for this girl since she doesn’t like being on the second level of the home.     Hi All! My name is Barney Bestie and I am an 8 years young Shih Tzu. I weigh around 15 pounds, but have a lot of fluff, so I can look a little bigger.  Once I get a new groom, you will be better able to see my size.   I am friendly with my foster mom’s other dogs and get so happy when I am around people, even when going to the vet! I love to wander around my foster mom’s yard, but do not require a fence. If you do not have a fence, I will need to be leash walked to get my needed exercise.   I do have severe dry eye, so will be on eye drops/ointment for the rest of my life. I am slightly vision impaired due to my dry eye condition, but with my daily eye drops, I hope that will improve. Despite my eye condition, I get around just fine! I can go up the stairs, but I do hesitate going down. For now, my foster mom carries me down to take me outside, but I have gone down the stairs to the first landing, so I just need some encouragement to go down that second flight.    I am mostly house trained, but have an accident every now and then. I do not care for the crate, but I will quiet down after a few minutes. I am very quiet except when the other dogs in my foster mom’s home bark or if I want to go down the stairs.     I choose to be wherever my foster mom is, but I am fine being left alone for a few hours. I have not been tested with kitties, but I am very submissive, so I think I would be okay with them.
