Story
We got Sparky at a pet store when he was a puppy, and he is currently 11 years old. He is a good dog, a bit grumpy like all Shih Tzus. Right now, he is very bored at home since I work long hours, and that’s why I want to find him a new home with someone who can dedicate more time to him. He is a bit picky with his food; over the years, he no longer likes kibble, and I have to make him homemade meals.Sparky also loves being with people or his owners, but he likes his personal space, so I don't recommend hugging and kissing him too much since he doesn't really like it. I call him my grumpy old man; he has never bitten anyone because we all know when to give him love and when to give him space, but he is an adorable dog.

Story
Gizmo and Toby: a perfectly mismatched, completely inseparable duo of “brothers from other mothers” who are ready to write their next chapter—together. At 9 years young (with Gizmo proudly adding an extra 9 months of wisdom), these two Shih Tzu gentlemen are the definition of gentle, easygoing companions. After the passing of their beloved owner, they found themselves starting over, and while that kind of change isn’t easy, they’ve handled it with nothing but sweetness, resilience, and an unwavering bond with each other.Gizmo may be the smaller of the two, but he’s got just as much love packed into him. He came to us with a bit of a skin infection, and while he’s already on the mend with medication and regular spa days (yes, baths every couple days—he’s basically living at a wellness retreat), he may continue to have some ongoing skin sensitivities, likely related to allergies. Toby, his slightly bigger partner-in-crime, is right by his side through it all—equal parts cuddle buddy and moral support. When they arrived, both boys were underweight, but it didn’t take long for them to remind us how much they enjoy the simple pleasures in life—good meals, soft beds, and a game of chase-the-tennis-ball. They love going for walks together, exploring side by side like the little old men they are (but don’t tell them that—they still think they’re puppies). These boys are truly the full package: affectionate, friendly, and adaptable. They could do well in just about any home—with respectful kids, teens, other dogs, and even dog-savvy cats—so long as they get to stay together. That part isn’t negotiable. They’ve been through a lot, and their bond is their constant. If you’ve ever thought about opening your home to a pair of sweet seniors, Gizmo and Toby are here to show you just how special that kind of love can be. Twice the dogs, twice the love, and double the reason to come home smiling every day.

Story
Hi! I got my dog from my grandma’s neighbor, who is a breeder. He is 5 years old and is a Shih Tzu mixed with Lhasa Apso. He is very loyal and protective of his owner and forms a strong bond with his person. He loves to relax, cuddle, and stay close to someone he trusts. He can be cautious and reactive toward new people and is not good around other animals, so he would do best as the only pet in the home. He will be starting training classes to work on his reactivity toward people and other dogs. He would thrive in a calm environment with an experienced, patient owner who can continue his training and provide a consistent routine. I’m looking for a loving home where he can feel safe, secure, and be part of the family.

Story
DOB 4-12-2025 Tashi is a gorgeous little guy that loves everyone, likes toys and playing with his little friends. Tashi would love to have his own home! He is neutered, heartworm negative, received his ProHeart6 injection and up to date on shots. He will come with a total history of his medical records and his registration papers. Tashi's adoption fee is 900.00 and his transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS LLC, they are a wonderful transport and the only one we will use The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
