Introducing, Stony! Stony is quite a character. When you first meet him, you can tell that he is quietly assessing the situation. Will they be here to play? Take me to the vet? What's their angle? You can just tell that he has stories that he could tell! But, when he has played with you, you're in! Zoomies galore. He lovessssss a good play/petting session. A fenced in yard would be best for Stony, and a home with no younger children. He needs people that are familiar with boundaries when it comes to dogs. He does have some medical issues, please call the shelter to discuss them.

Chicky Cheer is a tiny but grown up girl who was abandoned in LA and found living under a house. Now gaining weight, with her mats gone and her hair growing back, this gorgeous girl is ready for home in New England on 12/16 from Amesbury MA. Her foster mom says she is calm and loves to be loved. Especially loves to eat! And does enjoy the company of other small and calm dogs. She is house trained but her tiny size comes with a tiny bladder so she is pee pad trained too.  Preference is given to adopters willing to pre-adopt (commit to) a puppy or dog before arrival. Meet Javi! During his time with us, Javi has been all sugar and no spice. He is the definition of a sweet old man, his favorite things in life are hanging with his people and giving them all the love and kisses possible. Javi is thirteen years young and due to his age, he is blind and partially deaf. He did have to have one of his eyes removed due to ocular disease and he has been recovering well and feeling better than ever. He doesn't let anything stop him from finding his favorite people and will wake up and eagerly search for them as soon as his foster family walks in the door. He does well with cats, dogs, and gentle children. Javi will make a wonderful companion for anyone who wants a quirky little friend to cuddle and take meandering walks with. *Javi is in our special adoption program due to his medical history. Best friend Buddy is just that.  He is a happy-go-lucky little guy that does not meet a stranger.  He is good with dogs, cats, and people of almost all ages (no toddlers).  Buddy always seems to be smiling.  This sweet little guy will be an excellent addition to the right family.  Buddy would like a home with another same size and age dog, so he has a companion.  He would also like a fenced in yard as he is used to smelling around when he goes out to do his “business”. Buddy is housebroken (he whines to let you know that he needs to go out), doggie door trained, and he walks well on a leash.  Buddy loves his daily walks.  This little cutie also rides great in the car.  He just settles down and sits in the seat.  Buddy is the perfect co-pilot.  He would be a great companion for someone that would take him places.   Buddy is a very social guy.  He wants to be wherever you are, and in your lap if possible.  His foster mom has moved a chair beside her desk so Buddy can sit there.  He also has wiggled his way into sleeping right beside her.  Buddy would do best with someone who is home most of the time.  He is just happy to be with you.  He is 8-10 years old and he weighs 16 lbs.  Buddy has had some eye issues that went untreated by his original family.  He has had surgery and is now on eye drops both eyes for the rest of his life.  Poor Buddy also has a heart murmur and is on medicine for that. Buddy is well worth the added expense of these medicines.  And don’t forget that he needs to be groomed regularly.  The love you get in return for loving and taking care of Buddy makes it all worth while.   He has been neutered and is current on all his shots and microchipped.  To be considered for Buddy's forever home and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Buddy is currently in Tennessee but can be transported north upon adoption.)November 29, 2023, 10:33 am
