All dogs are individuals, and we encourage you to select your companion based on their unique personality traits. This pet is available through SICSA Pet Adoption & Wellness Center, located at 8172 Washington Church Road, Washington Township, OH 45458. We are open Monday through Saturday from 12pm-7pm. To schedule an appointment or inquire about walk-in availability, you can reach us during our open hours at 937-294-6505.

Story
Meet Highway Steve the  most precious little boy! Steve is incredibly loyal, he is playful, great with other dogs, cats, kids and loves to be outside doing yard work. He currently lives on a farm where he follows his foster family everywhere. Never letting them out of his sight. He enjoys golf carts escorts on his bed and car rides. Steve is crate trained and is good with other dogs, cats and kids. Steve loves to lay in his people laps or snuggle under a nest of blankets. The vet thinks he may be a Shih Tzu mix, he weighs about 17 pounds and is about 2 years old. He will make a very loving companion for any family! All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Say Hello to Stich! Stitch just recently came to DASH when his owner could no longer care for him. He is a little underweight and he had some pretty severe mats on his legs, but those have been addressed. Stitch's foster mom is just getting to know him, but so far he is just the sweetest soul. He follows her around and wants to be as close to her as possible. He loves being petted and sleeping in bed too. He walks pretty well on a leash and is still working on going potty outside all the time. He does not like being in a crate, he will whine, but is not destructive if left out when his foster is not home. He fit right in with the other dogs in the foster home. He has not been cat or kid tested, but his foster mom feels he would be fine with older kids who are respectful of his size.
