Has cataracts but seems to get around fine. Very loving likes to sleep in bed with owner. Not demanding happy with food and love! Current owner is a senior female with health problems unable to care for Gidget. Wants to find a loving home for her!

Jack is a sweet 10 year old, 15 lb. Shih Tzu mix. Jack is super chill (calm), happy, and lovable. He loves snuggling and watching TV. He’s great on walks, likes everyone, and is perfectly housetrained. Make sure you have lots of toys, especially squeaky ones, because he loves playing with them. Jack would do best with another laid-back dog, but he will also be okay as an only pup in the house. Jack was diagnosed with and treated for lyme disease - his prognosis is excellent. Hi, my name is Bishop, I am a 12yr (DOB 11/01/11) Shih Tzu. I'm on the fluffy side at 23lbs. My Mom just passed away recently and all of my aunts/uncles all have too many pets for me to live with them so they sent me to the best rescue ever. My Foster Mom is helping me to adjust to all the immediate changes in my life right now. I might nip you if I feel scared of you at first. I love to meet other dogs and people. The smells outside are so fun to explore. I love walking, the fact that my front feet curve outward a tad doesn't affect my gait in any way so, it's all good. Another dog (Pom) and a cat live here too. I chase the cat (I've never been around one before) every chance I get. I know a few commands but I will probably ignore you while I enjoy exploring. I would love to find a family that wants to snuggle with me and let me be by your side at all times. Please let me see if we are a match so I can shower you with my charm. Calling All Cranky Little Dog Lovers! Meet Peanut.....Sometimes we call him Mr. Crabby Pants. This adorable chubby came to us as an owner surrender. They gave him up because he hated the husband...Turns out, Peanut hates most everyone....Until he trusts you. Then you are gold....Until he decides your not. ðŸ˜‰ Peanut seems to think the world revolves around him, and it kind of does. Some cool things about Peanut. Housebroken/crate trained Loves car rides. Is a great office companion. Good sleeping buddy. Doesn't mind cats but will growl, bark and might chase. Loves his person as long as they don't stare at him too much or try to take his picture. He HATES his picture taken. Weird things about Peanut. He gets all mad for a second for no apparent reason. Would rather not be around other dogs. Likes to follow you into the bathroom. HATES his picture taken. (weird huh?) We think Peanut would be a great companion for a single person or cranky dog savvy couple with a quiet lifestyle. Kids are too much for Peanut...He hates them too. Peanut is approx. 8/9 yrs old and weighs 18 lbs. He is neutered had a recent dental and is up to date on all his vaccines and testing. His Ohio tag is included with his adoption. Summer Breeze...makes me feel fine...blowing through the jasmine in my miiiiinnnd My foster mumsie sings that to me because she says I remind her of that song ....I'm like a warm Summer Breeze coming to bring you out of your winter woes. I make friends with all the dogs big and small, I like cats,I love kids,and I am gentle, wiggle butt of happiness all the time. My foster mumsie says another big bonus is that I'm like a shihtzu for someone on a budget... I have the cute squishy face and none of that long hair that has to be continuously groomed. Win-win! Summer is a wonderful little Shihtzu mix of some such. She is approx a year old and 14lbs grown. She is extremely easy,happy,and affectionate. She gets along with all of my dogs and fosters ,my cats,and the neighbor kids love her. They are at my door daily to see if she can come out and play. Summer recalls like a dream and doesn't run off if not on leash,but she also has great leash skills now. She is kennel trained and sleeps overnight in her kennel. She loves toys and to play, starting to learn fetch with little smaller 's. She is very gentle and would be perfect for a family even with small children. She is still working on her potty training, but is learning fast. She is maybe medium energy. While she does love to play and bounce around she also can just sit on your lap while watching a movie. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
