Some dogs lose everything familiar in a single day.
Brian is one of four littermates who entered rescue after the passing of their beloved owner. Along with his brother Boy and sisters Gladys and Scruffy, he suddenly found himself without the home, routine, and person he had always known.
Despite the loss he has experienced, Brian's spirit remains bright.
This handsome Shih Tzu mix weighs approximately 19.5 pounds and has a loving, affectionate personality. He enjoys being around people and is always eager to join whatever is happening. Brian is dog friendly, takes treats gently from your hand, and has quickly become a favorite among his caregivers.
Unlike his brother Boy, who is a bit more relaxed, Brian approaches life with extra enthusiasm. He's still working on his leash manners because he gets excited about adventures, but his eagerness to please and loving nature make him a joy to be around.
Brian has a grooming appointment scheduled for 10/27/26. With his classic flowing Shih Tzu coat, we're excited to see his transformation and leave the styling in the talented hands of his groomer. He is also scheduled for neuter surgery on 11/5/26 and will be available for adoption after recovery.
Brian is up to date on vaccinations and will be microchipped prior to adoption.
Now all he needs is a family to help heal the hole left in his heart.

OUR LOCATION & TRANSPORT POLICY:
Fur Ever Yours Animal Rescue is based in Okanogan County (Eastern Washington), where our dedicated first-line foster homes are located and where veterinary care is most accessible. Because we cross-list our dogs in multiple regions to help them find the perfect match, you may see this dog listed in several cities.
For Small Dogs (Under 20 lbs): Once an adoption application is fully approved, we provide volunteer-based transport to designated meeting spots in Ellensburg, Leavenworth, Wenatchee, Moses Lake, or Brewster for Western/Central WA families.
For Eastern WA, Montana, or Idaho Families: We host pre-arranged adoption meet-and-greets in Reardan or Spokane Valley.
Please Note: We do not transport dogs sight-unseen without an approved application and processed adoption fee.
ADOPTION FEES & MISSION:
Our adoption fees do not purchase an individual pet; rather, they act as a direct donation that funds our entire rescue ecosystem. Because we pull medical cases, seniors, and neglected animals from under-resourced rural areas, your adoption fee is pooled directly into our medical fund. This directly supports the rehabilitation, dental surgeries, and specialized care of every single dog currently resting under our roof.
