Story
Permanent, Loving Homes Needed for Senior Rescue Dogs Over many years, I have monitored and tried to help this particular group of dogs. These dogs have been loved, responsibly vetted, and cared for throughout their lives, though not in an ideal overall situation. They were in a somewhat hoarding situation… not the typical not cared for at all one, but still applies. They were kept clean and fed and I paid for most of their vet care along the way, but their owner would not surrender them until now. I am finally allowed to find them homes, and cannot provide the level of long-term veterinary care these dogs deserve — including dental work, senior monitoring, and ongoing medical needs, thus, I am seeking permanent, stable homes where their remaining years can be lived with comfort, dignity, and consistency. What I am looking for • A calm, stable home • Someone experienced with senior dogs • Financial ability to provide ongoing veterinary and dental care • A commitment to keep them for life — no rehoming • Patience, kindness, and realistic expectations These dogs are older (aged 8 to 12 years old), and while many are still active, affectionate, and content, they will require the kind of care someone prepared for senior dogs can provide. What I will provide Full transparency about age, temperament, and medical needs Important medical history is known I do not have every vaccine record/etc but they are all spayed/ neutered, microchipped, and current on rabies vaccines Time for proper introductions Careful, thoughtful placement — this will not be rushed I am open to placing individual dogs or compatible pairs, and I will work closely with the right people to ensure a good match. If you are genuinely experienced with senior dogs and are prepared — financially and emotionally— to care for one for the rest of their life, please reach out by private message and tell me about yourself, your home, and your experience. These dogs deserve peace, safety, and love for the remainder of their lives. Thank you for reading with compassion. Hi, we're Misty and Lulu, real sisters (in the Seattle area) with hearts full of love. We can be adopted together or separate. We're sweet, friendly, and mellow. At 9 and 20 lbs, we're a perfectly bonded pair, if you are open to 2, but also do fine separately. We are fully vetted and ready to find a forever home where we can share our loyalty and love. We promise to fill your home with warmth and companionship. Consider making us a part of your family; we're just waiting to love and be loved in return. Note: when proof of dental is sent, the adoption fee will be returned to the adopter. We are DESPERATE for a home of our own. We are about 8 years old. Despite our different looks, we are true sisters from the same purebred shih tzu mommy dog. We are 2 of the best pups there too (we don't just say that, our fosters tell us so as well). They say we are absolutely too sweet and wonderful to be stuck without a home of our own. We do great with kids, cats, and other dogs... as long as the other dogs are not bossy or mean to us. We do pretty good not pottying in the house as long as we are kept on a regular schedule going outside. We are super sweet natured. We love to see what you are doing and just be near you whatever that is. We are not super high energy, so no need to do any dramatic things with us activity wise. We just love attention and cuddles! We need to be monitored when fed so Lulu doesn't eat all of the food... she tends to like it the most and steals mine when she can. I know we aren't young puppies anymore, but please give us a chance. Our rescue has a trial designed for you... so that you can be sure we are a good fit with your situation. Our vetting up to date (spay, heartworm free and on preventative, rabies, microchip, other vaccines up to date), with the exception of our dentals that need updated. We had our last dental about 3 years ago. I (Misty) have an old eye injury that I have had since a puppy. It does not bother me I am so used to not seeing too well out of that eye.

Story
Bouffant is a 2 year old Shih Tzu. She’s a bit shy around other animals (cats and dogs) but not aggressive. She is still opening up a bit, but only time will tell. She has experience around other small dogs, but not around big dogs or high energy dogs. She likes to be carried around and snuggle on laps. She is not timid or aggressive. She sleeps in the bed. She has a play pen but she escaped by climbing the side so that does not work. “ So far pretty good with potty time as long as she goes outside a lot. She does not like the rain much. She is nervous around the cats and dogs a bit but may warm up with time. She does not like it when other dogs are barking. She is sweet and gentle and not all that playful yet. She probably just needs some time to come out of her shell as time goes on. -----

A Quick but Important Note to All Adopters:
Please remember that none of our dogs arrive fully trained. Most come from tough or uncertain beginnings and may have never lived in a home or known basic routines. That means:

✧ They are not potty trained on arrival. Most dogs regress in potty training when moving to a new environment.

✧ They may lack basic manners (like leash walking or appropriate chewing).

✧ They’re learning, growing, and doing their best—but they will need patience, structure, and compassion to succeed.

The majority of these pups have lived in the confinement of a cage or kennel run for most - if not all - of their lives. Because of this, we strongly discourage the use of crates for anything other than vehicle transport. They deserve the chance to decompress and learn what true freedom and comfort feel like.

Our amazing foster homes work hard to start these dogs on the right path, but they are rescues, not finished products. These dogs need time, consistency, and a loving home willing to meet them where they are.

Also, breed designations are our best guesses based on appearance and behavior. We can't guarantee breed, size, adult weight, or coat type.

He will happily play and nap while his person works from home.Goldfish is playful and snuggly when in a room with his people, however, when left alone in a room, he tends to whimper for a minute until he settles. He is good with cats and dogs . He is one terrific little dog! -----

Story
Beef Jerky is a Shih Tzu puppy with a curious spirit, a playful side, and just the right amount of cuddle. He’s the perfect little sidekick who loves being near his people—following you from room to room—but doesn’t need to be glued to you 24/7. BeefJerky is a confident little explorer who enjoys checking out his surroundings, playing with toys, and having the occasional playful wrestle with other small dogs. That said, he’s also grown comfortable being a solo pup and would do just fine as your one-and-only or with a canine companion. He’s not possessive of his humans and has shown no signs of aggression—just a happy, curious puppy figuring out the world. He’s great with kids. He’s perfectly comfortable being handled by his trusted humans and absolutely loves greeting you with sweet little kisses. Beef Jerky is already picking up on some basics—he knows how to sit and is working on “lay down.” He’s very food motivated (which helps a lot with training!) and has no issues around food. He’s doing well with puppy pads most of the time, though he’s still learning, and hasn’t quite figured out going potty outside yet—but he does love exploring the yard. At night, he sleeps in a crate or playpen and does well. He may wake up briefly for a little nighttime wiggle or play, but settles back down easily. He’s comfortable in his crate and has even made it his little treasure den—don’t be surprised if your socks or shoes mysteriously disappear and end up tucked away with him! 😆 He also has a soft spot for cozy spaces like baskets, where he keeps his favorite blankets and toys. BeefJerky rides well in the car after a short adjustment period and has even done great in a backpack carrier while out and about. He’s a quiet, adaptable pup who just wants to be part of the action—whether that’s playtime, adventure time, or winding down at home. BeefJerky is truly a sweet, silly, and lovable little guy who’s ready to find his forever home. Whoever adopts him is getting a loyal companion with a playful heart and lots of love to give. -----

Story
Updo is a year and a half old Shih Tzu. She is the sweetest little cuddle bug! Her favorite thing to do is cuddle and nap on the couch. She is very easy going and tolerates her the excitement and eagerness to play of other dogs to play. She always wants to be wherever you are. When she wants to be picked up and cuddled she will hop up her legs and waves her front paws excitedly. She really is just the sweetest little girl, who just wants your love. Updo does not like to be separated at night and would like to sleep in bed with her humans. She sleeps through the night as long and she is with her person. Updo is doing great with potty training. She goes potty first thing in the morning, a few times throughout the day, and right before bedtime. She has only had a couple of accidents. She demonstrates slight resource guarding over toys and treats. She experiences separation anxiety if she is locked up alone. She is good with other dogs, cats, small animals, and kids. She is good motivated. Anyone would be lucky to have this cuddle bug and she will be lucky to find a loving forever home.. -----
