Who are our Working Cats? Some cats are not social enough to live as indoor pets, and prefer an independent lifestyle. These cats have experience living outdoors and are proficient mousers. Since these kitties are happier and more successful outdoors, we put them to work in homes, farms, and businesses where they can do what they do best. All our blue collar kitties are spayed/neutered, ear tipped, and fully vaccinated. Why hire a Working Cat? By hiring a blue collar kitty, you can avoid using toxic pesticides, save money on a pest control service, and provide a home to a cat in need. Adoption fees are waived for our Working Cats. Cats are also more effective than other methods of pest control because they act as a deterrent!If you are interested in adopting a Working Cat, please visit the shelter in person to start the process.

Meet Baja Blast! 💙🤍🐾 Baja is a gorgeous fluffy Siamese girl with a huge personality and an even bigger heart! This little snuggle bug doesn't wait around for you to initiate affection—she actively seeks out her people and is happiest curled up in your lap getting all the cuddles. She's also quite the conversationalist! Baja is a very chatty girl who loves having full-on conversations with her humans. Talk to her and she'll happily talk right back. 😂 When she's not snuggling or telling you all about her day, Baja loves playing with her feline friends and chasing teaser toys, strings, and even the mysterious foot moving under the blanket. She's incredibly social and absolutely loves other cats. And then there's mealtime. Baja takes dinner very seriously. If her bowl is empty, she'll sit right beside it and make sure you know about the situation until it's corrected. 😂 She's also convinced that whatever you're eating must obviously be meant for her, so expect her to supervise every meal! Baja is FIV+, but don't let that scare you away from this amazing girl. She is sweet, silly, social, affectionate, and full of personality. She loves chasing toys, wrestling with her kitty friends, and generally keeping everyone entertained with her goofy kitten antics. She's also a big fan of snacks, so treats are definitely the way to her heart! Michelle absolutely loves other cats and must have a young, playful kitty friend in her new home. She thrives on having a feline buddy to play and snuggle with. Once she's finished zooming around and causing adorable chaos, Michelle is happy to settle in for some cuddles. Meet Hennessy! 🤎🤍🐾 Hennessy is a handsome seal point Siamese boy who is still discovering just how wonderful people can be. He's a little shy at first, but he's making progress every day and is learning that humans come with some pretty great perks—especially snacks! 😂 Hennessy absolutely adores other cats and gains confidence from having feline friends around. He must have a playful kitty companion in his forever home and would do best in a multi-cat household where he has a buddy to play with, follow around, and learn from. This boy is VERY playful and incredibly food motivated. Treats and snacks are definitely the way to Hennessy's heart! Once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality really comes out. He becomes a cuddly little lovebug with an impressively loud purr. Hennessy should do well with polite dogs with proper, gradual introductions. Older children would be best while he continues building his confidence.
