Story
Meet Felix the charmer.  He loves to play and chase and then snooze like a champ.   He has really warmed up to attention to his foster mom and will purr like a motor boat and close his eyes in a matter of minutes of getting pets.   Felix loves his brother Frankie and they have helped each other transition from a shelter to foster.  They'll chase each other and bat at each other and then snuggle intertwined. They'd love to stay together if possible and provide hours of entertainment!   They are being fostered in a home with a dog and have gotten used to him with no problems. Felix is litter box trained, neutered, chipped, tested felv/fiv negative. Too young for rabies (need that at 4-5 months).  Felix is fostered in Loveland, but will transfer to the Petco Lakeside just off I-70 and Harlan Thursday evening.  Apply be first in line to meet him privately, he will not last long once people see him in the store! ##2098887##

Story
Name: Viv Breed: Siamese Mix Sex: Spayed Female Age: 15 years Weight: 7.5 Has Medical Needs Good with dogs? Yes, Viv coexists with the large adult dog in her foster home, relaxing nearby and not interacting. Good with cats? Yes, Viv coexists with other adult cats but does not wish to interact, and kitten energy is too much for her. Good with kids? Not Tested; Viv needs a home with gentle, understanding humans. Energy level: Low, Viv enjoys snoozing or lounging in comfortable spaces, decorating your home with her quiet beauty, for about 20 out of 24 hours/day. When she plays, she enjoys toys with feathers. Medical/Behavioral needs: Viv spent most of her life outside, in physical pain and without needed medical care, and is profoundly relieved to be cared for by loving humans. She had a double ear infection for years which left her ears feeling sensitive, and it is important not to touch them and instead love on other parts of her furry body. She has only two bottom teeth left and eats wet food and enjoys soft treats. Viv is an enthusiastic litter flinger (when cats live outside, they must thoroughly cover their business to avert predators) and appreciates a covered litter box. Animal Characteristics: Viv is a dainty, absolutely gorgeous lady who is looking for a patient, loving home where she can be pampered during her happy golden years. She has been melting into a cozy indoor environment and making great progress with her confidence. She may not approach a person for attention, but if a person approaches her with love, she is delighted! She enjoys being petted, especially on her neck and soft, relaxed little body. Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. Not Tested Energy level: Low Medical/Behavioral needs: Bobby was left alone for months after his prior humans passed away. He has been taking two calming aids to help him relax in his new environment and remember that humans want to love and care for him. His front paws are declawed. Animal Characteristics: Bobby is cautious and shy, and currently only interacts with his foster by meowing. He likes to relax by himself in a window, watching the wildlife outside, and sleeps high up on a chest of drawers piled with soft blankets. Story
Please contact Kristin (cats@arrcolorado.org) for more information about this pet.  Miss Frizzle is ready for her forever home and is really coming out of her shell. Once a shy scared mama cat, she is finding her own personality now that her kittens have moved on. She LOVES to play and needs another playful cat in the home. She is fine with every animal she has ever met, including dogs, other cats (male and female) and even a bearded dragon:) She is skittish with people she doesn’t know so a home without young kids would be best. She would love a home with a single adult or a couple can take the time to build a trusting relationship with her. She was born approx. Jan 2023. https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Ljyg4fQiCDo Foster: EB   Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives! $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These 'guardian kittens' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These 'guardian cats' help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens. $200 for kittens (6 months & under)    $125 for cats (older than 6 months)    $75 for senior cats (8 years or older) If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process! Please email cats@arrcolorado.org for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time. PLEASE NOTE:  The breed listed is the information we've received from the shelter.  Shelters usually guess at the breed, so there is no guarantee, as we don't DNA test our foster pets.  Here is some interesting info on breed identification:  https://arrcolorado.org/category/puppy-dog-tips/ Our adoption process is: 1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet. 2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
