Story
Viola is a stunning Lynx Point Siamese mix with a personality as striking as her looks! This chatty girl loves to talk and will happily keep you company with her adorable commentary. While she’s not much of a snuggle bug, but she does enjoy being near her people and is always curious about what you’re up to. Viola is great with kids and thrives in a home where she can be the center of attention—she prefers to be your one and only pet, so no other dogs or cats, please! She has a playful side too, especially when it comes to toys that rattle, and she never says no to a snack. If you’re looking for a talkative, independent companion who will fill your home with personality, Viola is your girl! For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. All of our cats and kittens go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on their core vaccines, as well as flea and tick preventatives. Each adoption also includes a 3.5-pound bag of Iams cat food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.

Story
Grady is a handsome Lynx Point Siamese with dreamy blue eyes and a gentle soul. He’s a shy guy who’s looking for a calm, quiet home where he can build his confidence at his own pace. Grady gets along well with other cats and would likely thrive with a confident feline buddy to show him the ropes and help him come out of his shell. With a little patience and a lot of love, Grady has the potential to blossom into a loyal and loving companion. If you have a peaceful home and a soft spot for sweet, sensitive kitties—Grady might just be your perfect match! Stop in and meet Grady in person during our adoption hours. Story
Sammy originally came in as a neutered stray and was adopted. Unfortunately, his story was not a happy one as the owner lied to us after applying for another cat, saying that Sammy was euthanized due to the vet's recommendation. The truth was, Sammy was found in a barn dying of starvation and fleas. He was rescued & rehabilitated over a period of months and is again healthy and looking for an appropriate home. Sammy does have a chicken allergy so will need a diet with no chicken by-products or chicken meal. Other than that, he is a beautiful boy deserving of a loving home. Please submit an application at pawshs.org and NOT a Petfinder inquiry as they may not be answered due to the volume of these inquiries received. Our adoption fees include the cost of spaying/neutering, vaccinations (including rabies for cats / dogs over 4 months of age), flea prevention, worming, FeLV/FIV testing, heartworm test for dogs over 1 yrs old, and microchipping. The location of our Adoption Center PAWS at 7282 N. Cherryvale Mall Drive . Check out all of our adoptable dogs, cats and kittens on our website at www.pawshs.org. Story
Margo has been in our home since she was a kitten, however a number of changes have made her very unhappy and we think that rehoming her is the best option. We have other cats and her 2 buddies unfortunately passed away over the last 18 months, and she has become more reclusive since then. One of our other cats and she also get into spats more now that her protectors are gone. She really is a sweet cat but she definitely has some of the siamese crazy in her. She will act desperate for pets and almost get herself overexcited then swipe at you for petting her. The trick is to just watch her body language for the warning signs, and let her come to you for attention. I believe she would do best in a quiet household without kids as she can be very skittish to loud, sudden sounds. We do have dogs and she doesn't run and hide from them, but she isn't necessarily a fan as they can be energetic. Her buddies that passed were sweet, laidback older boys so she may do well with similar.
