Look no further....   Max is a stunning 10-year-old Siamese who came to Mending Spirits when his family could no longer keep him. His entire world was flipped upside down so he took some time to settle into my home as he was grieving these losses. I found that by giving him plenty of patience, time and love (and wet cat food and churro treats) he has really started to blossom. Max prefers to follow me all around the house with cute little meows and enjoys our conversations throughout the day. He will often cuddle up next to me in the evening when I am working on a craft or watching a movie. He is just starting to show interest in toys especially wand type toys and fishing poles with feathers at the end. At night he is ready to settle into bed with me where he will cuddle in close with his purr motor going. Max will need a patient family who can offer grace with slow introductions and continue to teach him that the world is not such a scary place after all. These two kitties have been together most of their lives and would like to go to their new forever home as a pair. They had one owner for loved and cared for them, indoors, but suddenly found themselves abandoned outdoors when she was taken ill. Without front claws, these two survivor spirits managed to make it on their own for many months and eventually found shelter under the porch of a wonderful woman who lovingly cared for them until Mending Spirits Animal Rescue (MSAR) could place them in a safe foster home.   Armani is a vocal character and can sound a but crunchy like an old man at times but is actually very laid back and loves being around people. He is the bolder of the two and is the first to investigate new spaces and people.  He is happy to spend time laying around, getting in some good naps, and being a "buddy". Sometimes Armani's foster mom thinks he seems like a dog in a cats body! He is very affectionate and has a playful side too!  Coco is mild mannered and likes to take in new spaces slowly. She warms to people quickly and likes a good belly rub once she feels comfortable. She is a sweet kitty who doesn't ask for much but a safe, caring home with a quiet space to sneak off to when needed. Skye is an 8-year-old Siamese mix who has been a loved part of our family for many years. She was found as a tiny kitten along the side of the road in 2018 and became our teenager’s pet. During COVID, and a move on our part, my mom took her in, and they quickly bonded.Due to my elderly mom's declining health, she can no longer care for Skye, and we want to find her a home that better suits her personality and needs. We have taken Skye in again, but have since gotten another cat. Despite efforts we cannot convince the two to get along.Skye is independent, strong-willed, and a bit of a “slow burn.” She prefers affection on her own terms, but with time and trust she becomes affectionate and enjoys lap time, head butts, and forehead kisses. She may not give the best first impression, as siamese are known for, but patience pays off.She wants to be an only cat. She has lived with dogs (labrador retrievers) in the past, but she is happier and more relaxed in a dog and (other) cat free home.
