She is a calm and contented girl who enjoys the simple pleasures in life, like basking in the sun in her bed. Although she takes her time warming up, she has never been aggressive or hissed. Once she trusts you, she will ask for pets on her terms and climb into your lap, where she will stay as long as you keep petting her. She is starting to show interest in toys and loves playing with wand-type toys and fishing poles. She would do well in a quieter, predictable home where she can be respected and is a solo pet.  About Me: Hi, my name is Esmeray, and I am a beautiful 7-year-old Siamese. Snowball came to us as a surrender when his owner moved and he couldn't go along. Born October 2024, Snowball is a sweet affectionate boy who gets along with other cats but also would be ok if he was the only animal in the house. Snowball would dearly love the opportunity to go Home for the Holidays. All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sherwood and his sister, Seraphinia came to MCHS in Oct, 2025 after they had been fostered for a month and bottle fed.  They also lived with another kitten, Squirt.  Sherwood and sister were probably born in  August, 2025.  He is now neutered and current on shots/dewormings.  He has tested neg for feline leukemia/FIV.  Adoption fee is $80 with an approved application which is available at mchs.rescuegroups.org.  You must be 21 to adopt from MCHS and a pet carrier is required at the time of adoption.
