Story
Minky is a 6 year old Flame Point Siamese, his birthday is mid-May. He grew up in a household with one small dog and one large dog. He was re-homed with me when he was 4 years old because his family had adopted an 8 year old and he was not doing well with it. When living with me he had two cat brothers. He got along with the smaller cat better because of his anxiety. He does not do well with change. Any relocation or the addition of new characters to the household. He will act sweet for the first 24 hours of change and then he does freak out a bit. He does hiss, but he has never bitten or scratched me, apart from love nibbles. What works best is to have a specific spot for him, whether it’s a large kennel (which I can provide for you to take) or a spare room. He needs a safe space to calm down. He is litter box trained, however he needs it to be cleaned daily like clockwork. Only re-homing because I am in an unsafe home environment and need to leave. He loves feliway and catnip!

Story
Meet Meiling, a gentle soul with a story that tugs at your heart. When Mei first arrived in early September, she weighed just over 4 pounds—so thin and fragile, we weren’t sure she’d make it. But this little fighter has flourished in her devoted foster home, gaining weight and strength until she now tips the scales at a healthy 7 pounds. She’s still got a few reminders of those tough times—sometimes she’s a bit wobbly if she dashes or makes a big leap—but Mei’s spirit is unmistakable. She’s looking for a peaceful home where quiet moments are the norm. Young children and loud noises make her nervous, so she’d do best in a calm setting. Mei gets along with other pets but likes to do her own thing, watching the world from a cozy spot rather than chasing after toys. She’s not one to wrestle or roughhouse, but she’s happiest just being part of the family. Thanks to plenty of pampering (and maybe a bit of spoiling), Mei now expects her gourmet wet and dry meals twice a day—she’s earned it! She adores being brushed and will purr and “chat” her way through every grooming session. In her foster home, she’s come out of her shell and shown how sweet and loving she can be. Mei is ready for her new beginning. A patient, caring home will help her blossom even further. If your heart is open and you think you might be the right person for Mei, we’d love for you to apply today.

Story
Talia is a beautiful lynx point Siamese that was living outside.  She was trapped and fixed, but she was way too friendly to put back outside.  Talia is an absolute love bug and super affectionate.    She loves her chin scratches and has the most beautiful markings and blue eyes.  Talia is a very calm, loving sweetheart that wants a loving quiet home. Unfortunately, Talia  tested positive for feline leukemia but we have her on a few supplements to help her have a healthy life as long as possible. She still would need to be the only cat in the household as leukemia is contagious to other cats. If you’re looking for just one cat and a gorgeous Siamese that has the best personality in the world she is your girl.  She is fully vaccinated , spayed and tested negative for FIV and microchipped . She would not do good with very young children or large dogs .  Please fill out an application at this link.https://www.pfcatrescue.org/adoption-application/January 26, 2026, 8:25 pm

Story
Moonshine is one cool cat.  He was living outside on the east side of town, but his caretaker moved to Texas and could not take him with her other pets.  She contacted us and we took him in - this was back in 2021. He was adopted out but came back to us recently - his owner had lost her job and sadly could not keep him. Moonshine is affectionate and very social.  He settled right in at his foster home - great with other cats! He will roll around in front of you ......flirting for attention! He is good with other cats, but likely not dogs.  He was likely born fall of 2019....has beautiful blue eyes, and is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and negative for fiv/felv.  Adoption fee $60. Fill out our application at  https://www.pfcatrescue.org/adoption-application/January 23, 2026, 11:16 am

Story
Abner is a sweet, very quiet boy in his foster mom's home. She describes him as "shy about the world" ... big things can be scary, and changes can be terrifying! But we've seen moments when Abner was comfortable and let his guard down, and a wonderful loving boy came out, allowing for snuggles and love. We're guessing the big kitty personalities of his foster siblings are a bit much for him at times, which is why we think a quieter home with just a few people and maybe a couple gentle kitty friends will be the best fit for sweet Abner's forever home. Abner was initially part of a TNR ("Trap Neuter Return") program, but the vet providing the neuter recognized the soft personality and sweet nature of this charming boy, and asked for help finding him a safe, loving home. Please note, early in life Abner required a tail amputation, leaving him with a very short tail. The vet does not expect any issues with it. Abner is estimated at just over 1 year old. Included with the adoption is the kitty's spay/neuter, all current-due FVRCP, FeLeuk, and rabies vaccinations for kitties over 1-year, deworming, flea treatment, a wellness check, FIV/FeLV combo testing, and microchipping. In addition to being fully vetted, our cats and kittens are highly socialized. We offer a 2-week getting acquainted period and a 2-week wellness guarantee, so you can comfortably settle in with your new kitty! To apply to adopt, please complete an adoption inquiry at www.bluesmews.org so our adoption specialist volunteer can review it and contact you!
